I was incredibly disappointed with this product. I didn't want to spend the money on the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish, so I thought this would be a good alternative. In order for me to get any hint of a highlight to appear on my face, I literally have to scrub my brush into this product. I may try using it with some MAC Fix Plus, but have yet to do so because I found other highlighters. I was surprised because I hear such good things about it, maybe I got a defected one!
A really good highlighter to start your kit...
This is a great highlighter for those who are just starting out on experimenting with illuminators and highlighters. Gives a nice natural glow and last for a while, will probably last longer with a good primer. A bit expensive for a drug store brand, but is an overall good product.
Wanted a drugstore alternative to a pricier powder highlight
I'm super glad I found this product- I think through Beautylish. I wanted to find a drugstore alternative to a pricier powder highlight. I also wanted to try a PF product because I've never used any of their products. I was so desperate to snag it, I ignored the fact there would be an upcoming sale (or something to that effect) so I bought it full price. I like the packaging. Its sturdy and very elegant- from the pearl embossed on the top, to the silver compact the product is encased within. There's a secret compartment under the powder where a brush is stored, but because they usually suck, I haven't used it. The compact is a little clunky, so its a tad annoying for storage, however. The color is a multicolored pink/pearl mosaic. When swatched, you only have to layer it on a few times to see the peach/pink, but it has sufficient shimmer and shine in its own right, and the pink does appear in only a few coats, if that. This might wear better when applied by finger, because it picks up a bit irregularly on the brush, and swatches so well with a finger. While its nice to pick up a little dusting from the compact onto the brush, for its semi-steep price (for the drugstore) I would like the powder to be a little lusher and softer, evenly distributing the particles on the brush, as opposed to picking up particles and having them be widely dispersed on the brush. That's probably really unrealistic as a view on my part, but still. So in addition to using my finger to apply I plan on using this an inner corner highlight, tear duct highlight, brow bone highlight and all over lid color wash. I have used a fan brush to apply which makes for precise application, and my contour brush and powder brush, which picks up more product (albeit, light digging involved). This also looks great over Benefit's High Beam, to punch up the High Beam and set, it, although the HB sets/dries quite fast. All in all, this is a great multi-use product but its cons lie in its higher price and not so creamy texture/finish. (Silky on finger however.)
Nice, subtle glow
I like this product because it gives a slight shimmer, without making your face look "greasy." Great highlighter....and the smell is very nice. As weird as it sounds, it's true. Usually some face products don't have a very pleasant smell, but this one's alright. If you're looking for a more noticeable glow, then this isn't for you. It only gives a SOFT glow. For the price, I'm not too sure I would get it again, because it's not very pigmented.
Good highlighter
I use this product as a highlighter for my brow bone, the inner corner of my eyes, and on my cheeks. I like it a lot, it goes on smoothly and it creates a nice shimmer effect that doesn't look overdone. I wear it everyday as a finishing touch and it adds a little something extra to my look. I do notice that it isn't the longest wearing so it sort of wears off by the end of the day.
