-2 1/4 cups flour -2 tsp. baking soda -1/2 tsp. salt -1/2 c. butter -2 1/2 cups brown sugar -3 eggs -1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract -3 1/2 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted -3/4 cup sour cream -1 cup boiling water

-Sift together dry ingredients—set aside. -In large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until combined. -Add eggs one at a time. -Beat in vanilla and chocolate. -Mix in sour cream and dry ingredients until combined. -Stir in boiling water. -Bake in greased 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees for 35 min. -Let cool.

Frosting: -5 1/2 oz 75% pure chocolate, melted -1 cup unsalted butter -1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted -3/4 tbsp. vanilla

-In a large bowl, beat butter until soft. -Add sugar and beat until fluffy. -Add vanilla and chocolate and mix together.
