Purifying Pore Scrub

I will say this, don't be fooled by the name. It definitely isn't a true facial scrub. You can feel the Jojoba beads but they are very gentle. This is more along the lines of a cleanser/scrub. The smell is great. It feels velvety soft on the skin and almost a gel like consistency and a bit runny. I feel like the opening should be a bit smaller since you can sometimes using more then you really need. I wouldn't say it did a huge difference to my pores but it moisturized without making me any oilier.

I will say one thing: it does smell amazing. Although this product worked for me at first (about a bottle and a half's worth) over time it lost its magic making skills and I started to break out once again. I'm not sure if my skin became immune to the product or what, but I wound up throwing it out. I speculate the exfoliator became too much for my skin and I may have been using it too often (although it does say gentle enough for daily use). Also it is a natural product which are better for you but don't always provide those coveted results we look to achieve

For the longest time I was using Clean & Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub and cannot believe I didn't find this Neutrogena one sooner, because it's so much gentler and it smells like apples. The "natural" marketing ploy and the misleading "pore scrub" aside, the cleanser was very effective as a morning exfoliator and didn't contribute to new or worsening acne. In fact, whenever I had the occasional acne, it was gone after a day or two after using this exfoliator in the morning and an additional foaming cleanser at night.

I'm not sure what the magic is with this, but I love the gentle scrubbing agents suspended in the cleanser, which feels thin and light on the face and not abrasive like the Clean & Clear scrub that I used to use. After rinsing, my face retains its natural complexion, not pink or red from rough exfoliation.

I use this product every night after taking off my makeup or just cleansing my face. It is gentle and makes my skin feel very smooth! I tend to have sensitive skin & this scrub does not irrirate my skin at all.
