Velvet Gloss Lip Pencils

I too have the mini version of New Lover from a Sephora beauty bag. I didn't think it would be flattering but much to my surprise it is quite versatile. Alone or layered I've used it day, night, bold, or muted. I use it a few times a week and will most certainly buy the full sized pencil.

I love this velvet gloss pencil in New Lover. I got a smaller version of it in a sephora gift bag and I will definitely repurchase. New lover is a pigmented pinkish red but still soft enough to wear during the day, and layer at night for more of a pop. I sometimes use it as a liner for a pigmented lip gloss and sometimes wear it solo.

This review is for Mexican Rose from the NARS Spring 2012 collection. I really love the gloss and colour. It's really pigmented and glides on smoothly to lips. But this shade stains badly. good for my skin, it doesn't flake and draws white line on my lips. I just had to retouch after eating hence, it stays longer and makes your lips kissable looking. I hail to this next to MAC lipstick.

Nice pencil. It provides a nice, glossy finish. I do wish it would last just a bit longer. Plus you have to worry about product waste. But New Lover is such a gorgeous color, it is well worth the money. New Lover is a really pretty strawberry-pink color. I haven't seen a color quite like it.
