Mixed Feelings
I really like this powder. Its kind of hard to get out of the container but other than that its great. I use it for contouring because I found the perfect shade. Plus its light enough so its not obvious that I'm wearing make up. Side note; the brush that comes with it is dreadful. Its really firm and scratchy. Not a fan of that.
Great for no makeup/makeup days
I only use this powder foundation when I'm going for that 'nude face' look. It's light coverage, so I'll typically use a tinted moisturizer underneath to help a little with discoloration. I'm a huge fan of the matte face look, and this definitely gives me that, however, my face starts to get a bit shiny after about 4-5 hours. But because it is light coverage, I can easily reapply. It doesn't look cakey on the skin either. I do not use the brush it came with though. It started to shed after my first use.
Really nice powder. I had to use it over top of my cream foundation but didn't use the brush that came with it. Without putting a cream foundation underneath I don't think it covered as much as I would have liked it to for the price I had to pay. It lasted a long time though because I didn't need to use a lot to cover up. It left a soft touch and nice finish though.
It's good mineral foundation.
I have been using this on and off for many years now. I always have it on hand in my make up collection because sometimes I like to switch it up. I change foundations depending on the season (heavier vs light coverage) and my skin, if it breaks out a lot, etc. This ain't bad! I used to use Bare Minerals back in the day when I was a teen, but since I've found a cheaper alternative, why pay more? The brush. Ahh, the brush. Replace it with a nice kabuki brush and you're set. Give the old brush to your baby sister. This CAN be cakey if you apply too much. This is supposed to be for a light to medium coverage, so if you're looking for full, don't bother because you'll hate it. If you have dry skin, this isn't the best fit for you. It's fast and easy to apply for those days you want to look put together yet not totally made up. xo
Really Like This!
Since I'm a teen, I wanted something light, breathable, but that would cover up what I needed it to. This does the trick! The shade matched my skin tone wonderfully and covered imperfections and soaked up oil in my t-zone. I would suggest that you be very light handed if you're doing your cheeks, it can get very powdery and cakey if you're not careful.
Love the powder not the brush.
This is like the one powder in my arsenal that deals well with my oily t-zone, it really keeps the oil in check! i dont use this as a settign powder, i feel its best for using alone over primer & mascara for agreat natural look. I really disliked the brush, companies need to stop putting brushes with things. A lil goes a long way with me.
In the beginning of fall, I went on a mission for mineral foundation. I tried Bare Minerals, but the color wasn't a particularly good match for me, and for the price I wanted perfection, so I tried the Maybelline one. I got the wrong shade, and I have no idea why I didn't just go back and pick another shade, but I digress. I have finally found the right color for me, and I love this. I use Benefit's That Gal primer underneath it just to give it something to hold on to and I really like the combination. I haven't noticed any radical changes in my skin, but it's only been a couple weeks. I would definitely recommend trying this, I get pretty good coverage out of it and I'm very happy with it.
I love this, best drugstore powder i've tried!
This is by far the best drugstore powder I've tried. It is similar to the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural when it comes to the look and finish it gives your skin. I do prefer the MAC msf natural more though because it does provide more coverage and last longer, but this Maybelline Mineral Power powder is great for summer. It's super light but gives my skin a nice flawless finish overtop my liquid foundation.
