Maybelline
Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation
Reviews
One of the worst foundations I've ever used. I thought I'd go out and buy some because it was all hyped up it does sound cool "airfoam" but it definitely did not live up to it. first of all its a lot darker then it seems almost orange it is not flattering on anyone. Second it's hard to blend it dries so fast! And it made my face splotchy and dry...waste of my money
Foams not as cool as you think
Horrible-worst foundation I've ever used actually. Provides light coverage, not very true to my skin tone. Feels sticky the entire time it's on unless you use a setting powder/ mineral facial makeup. Also comes off with water. Waste of money and time I don't recommend
LIGHT, BUILDABLE AND LASTING. PERFECT FOR SUMMER.
I saw a makeup tutorial that wore this foundation and was marveled by the fact that it was a foam so I bought it. At the first time, I spilled it everywhere because I didn't shake it first. It's VERY IMPORTANT that you shake very well first, and then you can actually control the amount that you put on your hands, which many people complain about. It is very lightweight (I'd say heavier than a BB cream, but lighter than a foundation) and you can totally build it up. My acne got really critical recently and I put about 2 coats on the areas where I most needed it and I was good to go. Don't need a powder or a primer: this stays all day and doesn't sweat off.

A Nice Surprise
I heard a review about this foundation on youtube so I decided to try it. It is the perfect sumer foundation. In the summer foundation tends to melt off of my face, but this foundation doesn't and it doesn't even look like you are wearing any foundation! I LOVE IT!
Sheer, Lightweight, Natural Finish, Great Staying Power, Fun Formula to Work With
By far the most lightweight foundation I've ever worn, and one of the most interestingly textured as well. I'm not fond of the packaging; being an aerosol can, it's bulky, you really have to shake the can well for the most even distribution of pigment in the foam. Otherwise, the foam will come out white and randomly splotchy with pigment.
Not to mention, some of the foundation will cake up and dry in the opening of the spray nozzle and block it, so that when you spray again later or the next day, it kind of explodes out of the can and onto the mirror/dresser/skin/clothes. Some people spray this on the back of the hand. I prefer to catch it in my palm to keep it from shooting everywhere. Also, because this dispenses as a foam, it's difficult to control how much product you're spraying; if you only need a little, you still dispense a lot.
Packaging quips aside, the foam is just so unusual that it's a little fun to play with. The foam dispenses a little dark, but when it settles into a liquid it lightens significantly and eventually dries light and sheer, making color matching very difficult with this foundation. But because it's so sheer, you can get away with a fairly close match anyway. I am MAC NC30, and was using Dream Nude Airfoam in 170 Nude, which was a little lighter but blended really well.
I apply this with my fingers in 5 areas: forehead, nose, both cheeks, and chin. The foam quickly dissolves into a blendable and sheer liquid, and dries to a fresh, natural, semi-matte finish. Not quite flat as truly matte finish! It reminds me of the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream's finish; just a tiny bit of sheen. Likewise, neither offer medium coverage, but at least they can be buildable to medium coverage at best.
I have combo-oily skin so I was hesitating to try this at first, but during the winter my skin is drier, so I gave this a chance and its staying power has lasted me 9 hours, and without powder! I was pleasantly surprised that this didn't just disappear like many sheer face makeup do. I can't say that this will be great for the summer when my skin is relentlessly oily; it may just slide off. Also, I'm not sure that the $10 price tag (I think this is the most expensive Maybelline foundation) is worth the troubling packaging. The foam is fun to play with, but I think it's more of a marketing gimmick.
As far as the formula goes though, I do recommend this for normal skin types year-round, and for combo-oily and oily skin types during the fall and winter seasons when oil is less of an issue.
