Colour Supplement

I'm fairly new to Lush despite years of my BFF singing its praises, so after having a couple of great experiences with skin & body care products, I wanted to try out some of their cosmetics.

I bought Lush Colour Supplement in both Jackie Oates (the lightest option of all), Light Pink (self explanatory) and Light Yellow (also self explanatory).

I really wanted to love this product because a) I have naturally dry skin, so less is more for me when it comes to foundations, b) I'm finally reaching a point of acceptance that less is more when it comes to coverage products that could settle into what I'd like to think are my wrinkles that don't actually exist ;)

So, Lush recommends you blend this product with a moisturizer for more of light tint, or use straight up for more coverage.

I tried both suggestions and unfortunately, while the colors were nice and subtle, something that happened each time for me was a LOT patchy settling of the product into my pores, and I don't really consider large pores to be a problem of mine. The second issue is that this product separates really noticeably when dusted with any sort of setting powder (I used Lush's Emotional Brilliance translucent powder). It left my nose looking chalky and dirty.

I read everyone else's great reviews of the Colour Supplement, so I thought maybe something was wrong with *my* skin, so I faithfully exfoliated, moisturized well, and discontinued the translucent powder for a couple more days of trying it out, but it just never really looked good.

Conclusion: I think this will be something I'll use again but only on super light makeup days, using extra moisturizer, applying the supplement sparingly, and only using liquid/cream blush. It just doesn't seem to work well with any powder product at all, at least for me.

As far as the color selection, Jackie Oates was my favorite and most light and natural looking, Light Pink and Yellow were okay.

I got this in light yellow. it feels light, moisturizing, and applies easily. the color match fit me decently, but it oxidizes badly. It's not as bad if you mix it with another product, but it's a dealbreaker. turns into a splotchy orange mess within a few hours. dries to a powdery feeling, somewhat matte finish which I don't like. best used to supplement other face makeup products. I enjoyed using this product, but don't think I would repurchase.

I'm on my second jar of this stuff. I use the "dark yellow" tint and it's perfect for either an all over foundation mixed with my Tarte amazonian clay tinted moisturizer or just as a concealer. I tan very easily in the summer but this still blends well with my yellow undertones. It will forever be a favorite and I will re-buy this again and again.

I just got the shade "Light Yellow" and I am floored! I have never found a foundation that matches my coloring (light, golden skin with a cool undertone) so watching this blend perfectly as I put it on was nothing short of shocking. Not only that, it wears beautifully and feels like I'm wearing nothing! This is my HG foundation.

I used the light pink and peach color. It matched well. This product is the pure color color so the moisturizer can go on first and you can use it as a foundation or mix your moisturizer with it and make it more of a tinted moisturizer. I've used it more as a foundation and just love it. I will be purchasing more of this product.

Great as foundation, it didn't caused any reaction to my sensitive oily skin, kept matte my skin, the sensation was light, and as if I used face powder, not greasy and last long enough. Loved it.

I use this with their celestial moisture and it is the absolute perfect finish for me. It is definitely full coverage for me but it does not look full coverage which I love. It doesn't break me out which is amazing because I have sensitive skin. This is my go to foundation for every day and its also buildable so I use it for special events when I know I will be taking pictures all night. Love this stuff and highly highly recommend it!(p.s. my skin tone is fair to medium and I use the light pink and it matches my skin color perfectly)

its gorgeous i used the shade ( dark pink ) i look like i just got tanned its awesome and the good thing that i can use it everyday without any fear that it would hurt my skin cause its 100% natural but there's two problems that you should spread it in your skin carefully cause it smudge little bit and the other problem is that it wont last for long time cause its natural

A great product, I just use it a concealer, or sometimes on my T-Zone, great finish, doesn't feel greasy, no perfume...it's all I ask! I would definitely by again, this product belongs to my "must have" list.

I used this all during the winter, I LOVE it. They need to make some more colours so that I can use it in the summer though. Doesn't make me break out and it's just worth every penny. I can use with moisturizer for less coverage if I want to or none at all for more coverage. Worth a try for sure.
