Absolute Platinum is the absolute BOMB!
I haven't fond a platinum blonde over the counter that works as well as this product. There are two levels and I choose the lightest, of course. Don't expect the "violet conditioner" to be enough to keep the brassiness from coming back if you tend to have red/yellow tones in your hair. In that case, buy Clairol Shimmer Lights shampoo online or at Sally's Beauty Supply. Find the large 31.5 oz. bottle online for the best deal! Don't bother getting the conditioner, this stuff is powerful enough! Just check my profile to see what happens when you leave it on too long XD It's what I like either way, a nice gray/lavender color, but if you just want really light blonde, use it once or twice a week. Also, if you want to go even whiter, buy Manic Panic's "Virgin Snow." Expect a lot of upkeep with this kind of hair. Platinum blonde, the "right" way, is one of the hardest colors to maintain properly. This product is an A+ though and I've had my hair done professionally at a fantastic salon and at home!
I can't believe I love a box color!
I am a hair dresser and have shunned box hair color since I became one, I was bored one night and decided to pick this up at the 24 hour pharmacy and it's probably better than all of the professional products I've used. I used to use redken color and I can tell you that it is very flat compared to this, I'm probably going to mix it with my own developer next time because the one it comes with seems way too strong.
I dye my hair a lot & have gone threw so many brands and i must say this is one of my least favorites! it does leave your hair very shiny, but the color either comes out too dark or it fades out really quick. I had to keep dying it (using the same product) but it didn't really keep my hair conditioned. Not one of my favorites.
conditions, but the color was off
I got highlights and didnt like them so i wanted to dye my hair back to my natural color (dark brown). I bought a box of dark brown hair color, and it came out a more medium brown on my hair. i didnt like that, but this hair color DOES condition really well. my hair felt a lot healthier and shinier. the conditioner it comes with is really good too.
Favorite at the moment.
I have used boxed dyes for the last 8 years and around this time last year I decided I wanted to ditch my red hair for ginger. I bleached my hair and this was the first dye I picked up because I liked the colour on the box. (Its called mango copper intense) I've now been using the colour for almost a year and I love the shine it gives to my hair and the silky smoothness just after I've dyed it however there is two down sides. One, the colour ends up a bit darker on my hair and it actually wanted it more of an orange tone and Two, my hair starts to feel really unconditioned the longer I leave it before dying again. Its weird but my hair starts feel more and more rough the more I wash it :/ but apart from that I love the colour and I get compliments all the time.
NEVER AGAIN!
I used to use this color brand when I used boxed dye, and then decided to try it again when I wanted some type a purple hue to my hair and it was a mistake. I just don't use box dye cause usually i'm going darker on my hair and most boxed dyes come with 20 vol. when I don't need any lift, just deposit. But they're easy when you first dye your hair. Also that makes it fade so much faster, so you have to retouch your entire head of hair, so no thank-you too much work for long hair and too much damage!!
Feria M32, Violet Soft Black
I was pleasantly surprised by this color. I dyed my over processed hair in attempt to cover the damage and thought it would be an opaque black. I thought it would be better to have a murky black than chola orange, lol. The color turned out to be this beautiful dark, glossy cherry-cola color.
