Shimmer Bloc

This was my first highlighter ever, and I still love it. I have not repurchased it due to the high price.. But I definitely will in the future. This is very shimmery, so if your not into that do not buy this. I like that it has 4 colors, so you can use it for eyeshadow, bronzer, blush and highlighter. When I hit pan, the colors cracked so I could not use it anymore. But other than that great product for summer and parties.

I got the golden mosaic as a gift, and I was confused at first. The colors are in no way natural looking, and so I never used it. But I recently started using the colors for just aneyeshadow and it looks great :)

I have been yearning for a Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc for ages, ever since I swatched them in Sephora maybe a year ago, and I always wanted the golden mosaic shade, but my Sephora was sold out of it, so I picked up the peach mosaic. I was so excited to use this until it came time to actually break it out... which, at that point, I couldn't figure out what in the heck to do with it! I like to use the bottom champagne shade as a highlight on the bridge of my nose, forehead, chin, cheekbones, and cupid's bow.. and honestly that is the only part of this product I have used, and I've had it a little over a month! I feel that this will be more appropriate for use in the summer months, when I am tan, for a sheer, shimmery, glow on my cheeks. I can't really justify paying for it again, though.. far too expensive for a product that I can only really get use out of a few months out of the year!

This was given to me as a gift... and I love laura mercier products. This one however was nothing that great. It added some glow but i just wasn't that impressed with it. After having it for a month, each color in the "mosaic" came apart at one time and broke... note that I didn't even drop it. I say skip it, there's better shimmers out there.

The peach mosaic shimmer bloc is one of my make-up essentials. You can build the intensity for a night look or just brush on a little for a natural healthy glow. I find that it works well with NARS Creme Blush in Cactus Flower; together you get that sexy GLOW! The only reason I don't give the shimmer bloc 5 stars: the bloc will start to crumble and eventually break into pieces, leaving your make-up bag with shimmery peach residue EVERYWHERE. I end up putting it in a ziplock baggie and using it ghetto fab style... The price point is fairly high considering this is not a "core" product.
