Medium coverage but limited in shades
One of the weaknesses of Koh Gen Do foundation is the shades are more pinkish, and they are super limited. It's understandable as Koh Gen Do is a Japanese makeup brand, so I think giving them one star for the lack of shades is a little unfair. This is supposed to be the compact version of the Aqua Foundation but I think its coverage is a little less than the foundation. The sponge is nice and easy to use and clean, there is a spare one which you would possibly need as the first one may become old and unhygienic after a while. I still want to stick with Koh Gen Do, but I guess I'll need to mix it with other foundations for a better match
Beautiful Formula
This a great compact on the go. There is a button you push, which releases a penny sized amount of product so there's no waste and it's hygienic. When . apply this at home, I prefer to use a thicker and denser sponge to really press the formula into your face. This offers light to medium coverage, and I recommend this if you have normal to dry skin. Otherwise, you many have o reapply every couple of hours. This gives a beautiful satin finish, and truly feels luxurious.
LOVE
Love the aqua foundation soooooo much that it was my travel go-to. However the glass bottle broke in my travel makeup bag a few month back. Purchase another bottle of course. Then I got this specifically for travels. So far so good! Do not feel any difference although it doesn’t have SPF?
Would love to try this, and I enjoy their other foundations but they don’t have a shade for me. Even the ones that do have my shad, the shade range is an absolute joke. These brands need to better cater to women and men of all colors and undertones. Do better.
