Gorgeous colour for cooler skin tone
This might be the perfect colour for a very fair but cool olive skin tone. It’s so natural looking once blended in.... but honestly that’s my only reservation about this product - that I don’t find it that easy to either pick up from the pan nor blend (I find it best to use a stiffer, small brush). I also feel that there isn’t much product in the pan for the price but it’s not my everyday bronzer so I can live with it, and not much is needed at a time anyway. I usually use Hourglass as I prefer a powder product for bronzers and blush but this is beautiful for times when I’m going to use cream blush for a natural look and don’t want to mix creams and powders.
Meh...
It's good. I get the all-organic ingredient list. it's nice... the packaging is gorgeous.
But I don't really go for it. it's not easy to blend. the beautiful packaging gets smudged. I don't know if it's better with a brush or a sponge.
it's not really worth the money
Beautiful shade and luxurious packaging but very shallow pan
If you're anything fairer than a medium skintone, I'd go with Dazzling - swatches of Lustrous looked too warm for the majority of light/fair skins. Dazzling looks really beautiful and blends in naturally with my cool skin tone, and the packaging is absolutely luxurious. Compared to the Laura Mercier cream bronzer (that I had in a palette once) this cream bronzer is slightly less creamy and pigmented, but still looks beautiful.
My only complaint is that the pan of product is extremely shallow, and I ended up hitting pan within a week or two of getting the product, and I don't even use a lot of product per day. Obviously the product amount is listed in the description, but it still surprised me to hit pan so early.
If Lisa Eldridge says it's lovely, well it must be phenomenal!
I love Lisa Eldridge, she's so talented and humble, quite reserved, sort of the opposite of Charlotte Tilbury who's so overly animated and dramatic to the point of being very exhausting. She's used this lovely highlighter twice on her YouTube channel, which is not like her, which prompted me to buy it. I'm usually not a fan of cream highlighting, I'm always concerned it will draw attention to my less than perfect skin, but this formula is really stunning, and acts like a soft filter. I do love products that are refillable too, what's the point of all the gorgeous industrial design, if it can't be refilled? I believe the ingredients are natural or organic too, which is a nice plus, so this stunning product is a complete winner all around!
Very blendable, can be natural or built up to more intense
This highlighter adds an absolutely gorgeous luminosity to the skin, it blends out beautifully and layers well. If you prefer more intense radiance, you can build it up to a wet looking sheen.
Because it's such a light cream, it doesn't emphasize fine lines and skin texture as much as some other illuminators do.
It does have more of a pinky bronze appearance, so if you want something very pearlescent or white this will disappoint. It does work well on just about every skin tone, though extremely fair women may want to use a light hand and extremely deep women may find it a touch ashy in some lightings. All in all, it's about as universally flattering as a single color could be. Highly recommend!
Too much obvious glitter
I love the cream blushers from KW, so was excited to try out the highlighters. Packaging is similar to the blushers, comes in a nice deep red box with a heavy metallic swivel compact. Most people love this 'luxe' packaging. I like it, but do bear in mind that it is very heavy, so probably not something one could carry around for the whole day and use as a touch up. I keep it in my make up case at home.
Sadly the highlighter did not live up to expectations. The glitter is very large and obvious. I much prefer the hourglass highlighters which give a natural glow without the obvious glittery effect.
PERFECTION.
Gorgeous compact (though rather heavy, if that's an issue for you), and magnificent product. I particularly like that you can purchase refills separately -- less waste, less expensive.
The highlighter itself is creamy and very easy to apply with fingertips, but it does dry down and set. Doesn't migrate, lasts all day with ease. The "base" color doesn't really show up on me, as it's pretty much the same color as my skin. The shimmer is a silvery white (hooray, no gold!), and it is VERY sparkly. I'd characterize the look as an extremely concentrated version of the sparkle in Guerlain Meteorites -- tiny individual shimmer bits, rather than a more uniform metallic effect like Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors. Absolutely catches the light, absolutely does not emphasize lines or pores, and didn't incur any problems for my breakout-prone skin.
This is definitely my favorite, most dramatic, and longest-lasting highlighter (out of Becca pressed in Moonstone and poured in Pearl, Chantecaille Petales de Rose, Smashbox Soft Lights, and RMS Living Luminizer).
Ruler of all highlights, powder and cream!
My first thoughts when I received this highlighter were a bit mixed. Beautiful and substantial packaging, but the actual product didn't seem like anything special or unique. Despite what I initially thought, I gave it a fair shot. This product is gorgeous! Blends beautifully, stays put all day and you only need a small amount. It will suit majority of skin tones. I never thought I could love a cream highlighter like I do this one. It is pricey and wish it could be more affordable but I will without a doubt repurchase this. I am a bit of a highlight hoarder and out of the 100+ in my collection, this one is absolutely in my top 3. I also must add that the customer service and shipping through beautylish is in a leaque of their own. My favorite purchases are from beautylish and am a customer for life. Thank you!
