Eh, not a fan of these eyeshadows. I purchased both from Sephora a few months back and never got around to writing a review on them.

In a nutshell, this is by far the worst makeup purchase I have made in a VERY long time. It tops the “makeup failures” list, bumping the Rimmel Matte foundation to the #2 slot.

The eyeshadow is basically unusable. How are some people even using them? I tried convincing myself that I some how got a “bad batch” lol. But after further investigation on other review sites, I’ve come to the conclusion that they just suck. Bad quality, little to zero pigmentation, unblendable, and the list goes on and on.

There are TWO good things about them… The packaging is absolutely adorable and the pan is huge. Although since the product sucks so bad, it can be looked at as a bad thing that they provide you with so much of a crappy product… So I guess ONE good thing about them – cute packaging.

If Kat Von D palettes are any better quality, please DO let me know. For now, I’m hesitant on purchasing them due to the assumption of the same eyeshadow formulation.

The “glitter” side of the duo looked promising, but after swatching them, I was wrong. The glitter is basically so loose in the shadow that when applied, the glitter slides right off… And I could only imagine it sliding all over my face if I attempted to use it on my eyes. If you look at my swatch above (click image for larger view), you will notice on the glitter side, all the glitter is AROUND the swatch, not on it HAHA.

By the way, the swatches in the photo were done using a primer on my hand (primer used: MAC “Painterly” Paintpot) – what a sad excuse for eyeshadows to look like that even with a base. Each swatch took about 4-5 applications (using my MAC 239 brush) to achieve the color pay off you see in the swatches. Sorry Kat Von D, but who has the time or patience to apply 5 layers of 1 color? Let’s not even talk about the blendability of these shadows. Basically, fail.

Amazing product!

I cant believe no one has done a review on this product! I picked up 3 of these when they went on sale last year and I LOVE them! They definitley aren't for girls who prefer subdued or matte shadows. One is a shimmer and one is a glitter and they are ALL gorgeous! They create the prettiest smokey eye or are great used seperately. And I absolutely love Kat Von D eyeshadows. The pigmentation is phenomenal and to top it off, the packaging is PHENOMENAL!
