Great cleanser
I started doing research for a great brush cleanser and found japonesque. They were also recommended by ulta consultant. It feels a little big oily when you spray it on the brush but after it dries the brush it clean, soft and shape stays the same. You do need to spray a lot to clean your bigger brushes thoroughly but I love the way it cleans by brushes! Definitely going to purchase again after I'm done with this bottle
Parian Spirit is no longer distributed through Japonesque
If you like this product, then look it up on the "shop" tab above on Beautylish under Parian Spirit. Japonesque no longer distributes the original Parian Spirit, they are selling some dangerous, oily knock off with Cyclopentasiloxane - a chemical that stays in your blood stream for 5 years and attacks your liver! Don't be fooled.
The best
I found out about this from makeup artist friends of mine and told me to stop using the MAC cleanser and boy were they right. This stuff deeply cleans my brushes and they dry really quickly. Later after they fell soft and look in better shape than they were before. This stuff really takes out the eyeshadow, liner and foundation. It REALLY takes out foundation from my foundation brush its something I will be repurchasing a lot and putting in my kit for beauty school.
rids of everything
I have the spray kind, but I prefer to spray the brush cleaner solution into a clean round container. It really did work. I could see the original colors of the brush and everything. The quality of my brushes didn't change for me. It was the same softness and even had a citrus scent left over. You just have to be really diligent when cleaning with this. Make sure to wipe off the solution completely with tissue paper, until all the excess colors from the makeup are removed, and then leave the brushes out to dry. I am very satisfied with the outcome and have no complaints with the product.
Like dipping your brushes in baby oil
I tried the brush cleaner on a whim - a friend swears by it and made me a tester to see whether it would trigger my allergies. It didn't make me break into hives, but I will not touch it again. I'm sure all the makeup was out of the brush that I used it on, but there was such an oily aftermath I ended up replacing the brush altogether. If you have the time to wait around for the oil to absorb, I'd imagine this is fine. I definitely wouldn't recommend it for synthetic bristle brushes, nor would I advise it as a quick cleaner when working on multiple clients in one session. Honestly, I don't recommend it at all but there are people who use it.
So Soft
I must say this is the first brush cleaner I have ever owned but I love this stuff! You might think your brushes are soft now, but once you use this it leaves it sooooo soft! My only dislike is that you have to be careful or you might pour too much. (I have the bottle, not the spray kind). It also has a really nice herbal scent to it and I really like that. So over all this is a wonderful product for the price! (10 dollars!!) ~Kirbie
