Hakuhodo
G5554-4mm Powder & Liquid Brush round/angled
Reviews
The brush that will rock your world!
When it comes to makeup brushes, Hakuhodo makes some fabulous brushes. I was at a trade show when I first saw these things of beauty and I knew then that my credit card was going to start taking major hits.
You don't even need to touch one of their brushes to be able to see the quality and craftsmanship that has gone into making them.. I prefer very densely packed brushes for foundation versus your standard flat paddle brush because I feel that this type of a brush gives a more polished finish,
This brush is made with goat and synthetic fibers of different lengths which make it perfect for application and blending. Natural bristle brushes will give you the most intense deposit of color, and synthetic fiber brushes, in my opinion, are best utilized when used for blending, as these fibers will not absorb the product like a natural bristled brush would.
You can use this brush to apply liquid, creme or powder foundation. The different lengths of fibers seem to always absorb just the right amount of product with minimal waste. What makes this brush so special is the speed in which you can apply and blend your foundation: I'm talking a matter of seconds here, and the angled shape of the brush makes it easy to get to difficult areas that you can't get to with more traditional foundation brushes.
This is a $70 brush, and if you are familiar with Chikuhodo or the elusive Suqqu brushes, the $70 for this brush is will seem inconsequential. Any Hakuhodo brush that you purchase is an investment; however, unlike the stock market as of late, this is an investment that will pay off. You will be amazed with what this brush can do in such a short period of time.
