Scent of a Dream

Wow! This scent is something I haven't experienced before. At first I wasn't sure, but after your body heat mixes with this it's enveloping. I've never had a scent make me feel beautiful before until now!

I don’t know if I got a bad batch, but my bottle smells bad. I had such high hopes for this scent.

I didn't like this scent when I first sprayed it on my hand to test out. However, I rubbed it a little (something you really shouldn't do - it removes the delicate top notes!), and I preferred the scent with out the top notes. I think the base notes are the superstars of this fragrance. The scent develops into very unique vibes at each stage of wear.

TOP - At first this scent gave a light/fresh and slightly floral scent, mostly thanks to the bergamot. I'm not big into fresh scents and I'm not sure what it was, but something about these notes wasn't really for me.

MIDDLE - Next, the fragrance develops into a strong floral. I enjoy florals a lot, so I enjoyed this stage. The strongest note I could pick out was the very traditional tuberose, which people tend to either love or hate. I would have preferred a more subtle note of tuberose, because I think it overpowered the other florals in the composition. However, I still enjoyed the scent.

BASE - Finally, my favorite part! The base notes are warm and inviting. The molecular mix provides a welcome change from a normal vanilla-y or musky base, while still providing a lot of depth to the fragrance. I trouble picking out the notes, because I'm not used to those scents, but with some research I found that it's composed of ambroxan (manufactured ambergris), hedione (a synthetic floral), ISO-E (a woody molecule), and fire tree. I'm definitely going to be looking out for those notes in other scents, because I loved the dry down of this fragrance!

I rated it 4 stars rather than 5, because I didn't love the top stage, but that generally only lasts about 10-20 minutes into the wear of a perfume. I would still recommend this fragrance because I loved the dry down period and the base notes are the scent you get for most of the time that you wear a perfume.

This smells absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! I have gotten so many compliments on how incredible it smells..if you are hesitant, don’t be..you will be glad you purchased this. I always buy one large bottle and it lasts me about a year.

I received this perfume as a free gift with my purchase of other Charlotte Tillbury cosmetics at Christmastime (but not specifically for the purpose of a review). This is a very unusual scent and it’s hard to describe. All I know is that I love it. I usually have trouble with perfumes as they go on very strong and seem to get stronger on me, resulting in a headache. I hadn’t held out much hope for this one, but I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it. I don’t have any problem with it staying on all day either. It’s definitely my new favorite scent and I will continue to wear it eve when I have to actually pay for a replacement. Best gift with purchase ever!

this went on strong for me.. im normally used to scents that were described as this product was but just didnt blend well with my body chemistry. Scents are different on everyone and my recommendation is to get this product if youre thinking about it..

This smells amazing, I can’t describe it. I received many compliments from coworkers even my boyfriend who rarely ever comments on my fragrances.

Beautiful perfume! Makes you feel like a woman should...beautiful,. This scent is a dream! It's soft, alluring, and makes you feel confident in yourself. I've never loved a perfume this much or had it make me feel so delicious!

Let me start out by saying that this fragrance is absolutely delicious! It was exactly what I was looking for in a spring/summer fragrance. It's fresh, sexy, and animalistic. I agree with other reviews that it is a complex fragrance. The reason I only gave it three stars is because of the staying power. It did not last on me at all. If the scent lasted, I would have given it ten stars. In all fairness, I do have trouble with most scents not lasting with my body chemistry. Too bad because my husband loved it!

I sprayed two quick sprays of this perfume early in the day and loved it all day. I would say it's a mature scent in that it's not overly sweet or over the top floral. It's a rather complex perfume. Not only did I enjoy it all day, but I got many complementary remarks from men and women. I think this may replace my Tom Ford Blond Orchid since that one needs to be reapplied after 4 hours or so.
