BY TERRY Is Skincare In Makeup
I've been a fan of these. The colors aren't weak, they plump like mad, they feel divine to apply and wear. Also, I feel happy every time I see one of the gorgeous, heavy silver tubes. They aren't fussy to apply; no need for a mirror. Considering these are lip balms that are not a petroleum product, they have pretty good staying power. I wear lip color when I'm alone at home, and these products are perfect for that. I'm fair; Flush Contour is a deeper red, and shows well on me.
It's growing on me
I just got this in today and was almost pleasantly surprised to see the color was not as bold/bright as the image shows online. It's more of a creamy, coral creamsicle color. It has a strong floral scent, but that's pretty common for this brand - I don't dislike it, but it's worth mentioning.
It's not as luxe feeling on the lips as I thought it would be, but I absolutely love the hint of color it adds to my lips. I wouldn't say it's glossy either, but more of a healthy sheen. It's also very possible that this may take some time for me to notice a difference in texture or feel on the lips. So I may update this later if I'm able. Overall, it's a nice balm and I'm debating picking up another color.
Lovely color really moisturizes lips
I tried this in Sheer Glow which I thought would be too dark, but my friendly SA at Beautylish suggested that it fit my other color choices. The Balm is good for moisturizing my lips, but I don't see much of a Fill and Plump. I'd by this color again. They only drawback is that all the By Terry Hyaluronic Sheers have an odd taste. The By Terry lipstick (which I love) doesn't have this taste. You do get used to it.
Subtle enhancement of the lips
Innocent Kiss is my second Hydra-Balm Fill & Plump Lipstick. It's a pale, shimmery peach colour, with not enough pink as I had hoped for. However, it's sheer enough, so lots of my own pinky mauve lip colour comes though and that's fine. I just wanted to tone down, and warm up my natural coloured lips a bit.
I think it works perfectly for a more natural makeup look, or when I might want to concentrate on an eye-centric look that still calls for an understated shimmery lip. It's a moisturizing formula and lately has been one of my most reached for balm-type lipsticks.
I should mention, this is a very soft formula and I'm not sure how well it will hold up if I pop it in my purse during the hot summer months.
Exactly what I wanted
I bought this pale shade to lighten any darker colours I'm wearing. It would be too light to wear on its own. It doesn't stay on for very long, but that's to be expected with such glossy lipsticks. It moisturizes, glides on smoothly, isn't a sticky mess, adds a subtle highlight to the lips and is beautifully scented. I love everything about this lipstick.
I loved it, very moistening (this was a great add on since I have the driest lips ever) , and it is my somewhat my everyday lip stick. Its a very nice color, I do adore it. Its worth the money, trust me! The only thing that stopped me from giving it a five star was that it wasn't long lasting like I would of wanted but that could easily get solved by applying it again. I would totally recommend to friends.
Would not recommend, at least in this color ...
Because I ADORE all of my other BY TERRY products, I expected this to be a no-brainer. Unfortunately I found this to be greasy, non-plumping, an odd shade of pink. Tried it for three days, thinking it would work out ... big fail ...
