A scalp reset
Sometimes I get a little carried away with how many days I substitute washing my hair with dry shampoo, which leads to my hair feeling heavy and weighed down. Fortunately, one of my co-workers introduced me to this micro-exfoliating shampoo. I use this about once a week or once every other week and it's so good at getting rid of product build up and leaving your scalp feeling refreshed. At first I struggled with how to use this, because there's so much hair in the way of the scalp, how is it exfoliating anything?! But I found that using my fingertips to massage it into the scalp and through the roots is what works best for me.
Nice, but difficult with long hair
I love scalp scrubs and usually use the Karestase scalp scrub, so I was excited to try the Briogeo. It is nice, but I found with my long, normal thickness hair that it was somewhat difficult to get my whole scalp. I ended up having to part and separate my hair, which isn’t always the easiest when it’s wet. It feels great, though and works well once I got it on my scalp.
Perfect weekly cleanse!
I've used this about once weekly for the past couple months to help really refresh my scalp and keep dryness/itchiness in check. It feels really nice-- I like to massage it in thoroughly for a a couple minutes (since it doesn't really later, you really have to work it in with your fingers), and then let it a sit a few minutes more. The cooling sensation isn't *too* much and the smell is lovely (*exactly* like Thin Mints). I do find it just a little drying for my hair, so I keep application at my scalp/roots only and make sure to use a little more conditioner after. I bought the small size to try it out and I think that will last around 10 applications-- I'll definitely get the large size next time!
Dry, winter scalp no more!
So I've been using the Olaplex system for a while now and it's really nice but it makes my scalp really DRY (esp. during the winter!!) I always come back to Briogeo's scalp shampoo help me with any flakey-ness. I've used different tea tree oil shampoos, but they usually only solve my problems temporarily. I literally used this product ONCE and all my dry scalp issues were gone and have not returned. It's gentle enough to use as your daily shampoo but if you use it as needed, the 8 oz could last you for months.
Gentle and effective
This feels great and cooling, is easy to get out of you hair and smells really pleasantly minty/coconutty. I only have to use it every few washes to keep my scalp in order. The only thing to note is you have to use 2x3 times what you might use of a normal shampoo so it is worth looking to the bigger sizes.
