I like it but...
I was excited to see this on the Benefit make up counter. They have an amazing range of make up here in the Middle East but make up for fairer skin tones can be hit and miss. I really liked the idea of a tinted moisturiser. It is a lot thicker than my MAC studio fix foundation which was surprising. It also made my eye water a little when I applied it a little too close. It needs to be applied with a brush (like the real techniques buffing brush) just like foundation. It is a nice colour, has a yellow undertone. But I haven't reached for it as often as I would like as there is quite a strong smell. Not bad.
Ew
I bought it before the whole BB craze, i was looking for something with spf perfect for summer, and even if my skin is slightly lighter than the lightest shade i figured it would adjust to my summer-unvoluntary-tanned-skin. but no. still too dark and horribly yellow. extremely greasy and sticky. it melted on my face after 2 seconds outside. usually i dont throw away products even if i dont like them but i did with this.
YELLOW!
i have used this a few times like on hot days or if am just popping out and dont want a full face of makeup, but i had to stop using as in natural light i looked yellow... i have fair skin but even the light one made me look like an opalompa, this is sad as i love Benefit so much.
the not so great tinted moisturiser
I have really pale skin, and on my search for a foundation that would match i discovered tinted moisturisers, and i decided to check out benefit, since i love their packaging and i had some other make up products. I went to the counter and ended up buying this, got home and i found it far to dark for me, even though its the light version, it was quite oily and it didn't feel nice on my skin. it also has yellow undertones, and it wasn't complimentary.
too yellow for me.
I have very fair skin and even the light version of you rebel is just too yellow for me and looks really unnatural, it is also quite oily which would be a nightmare if you had oily skin, mine is a little dry so it's not too bad on me and mattifys after a while, still wouldn't re-purchase though at £23.50 it's just too expensive for what it is.
Great after you set it with powder.
I like this product. It’s easy to use and great for when on the run and don’t have time to do a complete foundation look. . It doesn’t take much time in the morning when getting ready for work/school. Its really light doesn’t cover much but if you set it with a powder it works great! I love it for a daily use. I have really sensitive skin and this product didn’t cause any break outs or a bad reaction and also its great that it has SPF 15.
