Smooth formula, buildable, and absolutely gorgeous on the skin
I avoided this for the longest time because of the packaging (and truthfully I still don't love it functionally even if it is aesthetically pleasing), but I can understand why this is such a well-loved bronzer now. It truly glides on the skin – it is pigmented so you do have to be careful to apply gently, but the matte finish is absolutely stunning. I also am surprised and happy to say that the Caramel shade is exactly that – Caramel, not too red or orange, just a perfect golden brown that gives a nice color to the skin. As someone with a more neutral-olive undertone, this bronzer is now about my Charlotte Tilbury and Gucci bronzers based off of the color alone. I'm even considering the Hoola original just to have on hand when I want a more gentle bronze.
Minus the packaging which I do think closes awkwardly, I really have nothing but positive things to say about this bronzer. If you're like me and have held out for whatever reason, I highly recommend trying it out.
An Essential
I love this product for my light skin. It stays all day, and adds a great color. It is very warmed tone, and may not fit every skin tone, however. I will use this as an all over bronzer or if I forgot a contour palette, I will pull this out as I always keep it in my "essentials" makeup bag!
The one
I’ve been on the hunt for a good bronzer since Guerlain discontinued their ebony bronzer. I’m so happy I tried this and wish I had gone for this sooner. It’s the perfect color and it’s so pigmented so a little goes a long way. The little brush it comes with was unexpected but very convenient. I hope benefit doesn’t discontinue this one.
Nice Matte Bronzer
This is a nice matte bronzer. It doesn’t have an overly warm undertone so there’s no risk of it looking too orange on the skin. I find that works perfectly fine with lighter skin tones and all undertones. It is a bit too warm to contour with in my opinion but if you have warmer undertones it could work. It blends well with my other products, and I can use it on top of powder or just liquid foundation. The only thing I don’t like is the packaging. I know most people really like the packaging but I prefer a sturdy compact. I think it’s a good price point considering most drugstore brand bronzers I’ve tried with the exception of physicians formula butter bronzer, are much too warm/muddy/orange toned. I own a ton of bronzers and this is perfectly fine. Is it one of my favorites? I would say I have a few I prefer over this but it would be in my top 5.
Perfection in a tiny box.
If you have yellow/olive undertones and are sometimes fair skin but tan easily this is the bronzer for you! It blends so beautifully and looks like you have been kissed by the sun. Also makes a great crease color. I love Hoola Lite!
Yes! A Great Bronzer with No Glitter!
Hoola works for so many skin tones. I have recommended it to friends with lighter and darker complexions. The bronzer is great because you can wear it everyday. I really love that it doesn't have any sparkle to it. The brush also helps provide a smooth application, no streaks!
A win for me!
I love Hoola to warm up my face when my body doesn't match it perfectly :) definitely not a contour shade but a great matte bronzer! Blends really well too! Only negative- I hit pan quite quickly, it tends to come out very easily on my softest Wayne Goss brush. But the product is awesome!
