Great product
This shampoo is great for prolonging your red hair color in between dyes. Smells fantastic. The fact that Aveda uses 98% organic and all natural ingredients is also a major plus! A bit messy, make sure to wash hands and residue on white tubs pretty quickly.
Great for keeping red hair red!
Being a not-so-natural red-head for years, I've got a "cocktail" of products to keep my color lasting longer. This conditioner has been part of the process for a long time. In fact, it's got a such strong color-depositing quality that I mix it with my regular non-color-depositing conditioner, which is great for stretching out a bottle. I leave the mixture on my hair anywhere from 2-5 minutes and it keeps my red tresses looking redder longer. (Note that if you don't rinse it off your hands right after application, it can stain your finger nails.) It's got that earthy sort of smell that other Aveda products tend to have. I'm indifferent about its scent, although it doesn't seem to linger once my hair is dry. I highly recommend this product!
