Love the colour
I had wanted to pick up a bright pink blush for a while and I went to my local MAC counter and picked up this shade. I love how pigmented this blush is, but when you apply it, it gives you a sheer coverage that you can layer on if you want to have rosier cheeks. I find that this shade is very flattering, it gives fair skin that slightly flushed look. This is a Sheertone blush and has no shimmer in it so it's great for everyday wear and causal/natural looks. I think the only down side to this blush is that it's not as long lasting as I would like it to be. At the end of the night most of the product has left my face.
Excellent product
I have the Carbon black from the Disney's Villian collection, it has a illustration of Cruella Deville on it. It's so cute. So I've had this shadow for a long time and I have no hit pan yet. This eyeshadow has great pigment, it a dark matte black which you can darken the colour by layering it. I find that if you use an eye primer on your eyelid MAC eyeshadows have a very long staying power. Sometimes I will also use Carbon with an angled brush as an eyeliner, if I want my eyeliner to be more natural looking. MAC shadows also have a great range of colours and formulations. I'm sure that whatever colour you are looking for you can find at your local MAC counter.
Favourite Nude
I love this product! I love that MAC has so many different shades and finishes in their lipsticks. Also my favourite thing is that all MAC lipsticks smell great! It's a vanilla-y candy smell, but it's not too overwhelming. This shade is the perfect nude for me, it does not wash me out and it does not make me look like I have no colour on my lips. This shade I would say is quite a warm tone, This is a Luster lipstick so you can wear this alone without gloss. This lipstick does last awhile, but you will need to reapply if you eat or drink something or in the middle of the day. This is my go-to lip colour now, and I always keep a tube in with me where ever I go.
Miss
I do have sparse natural dark eyebrows and I don't really have much of an arch at my brow bone. I think for this product you might want to first consider your face shape. For me, I find that none of these eyebrow stencils are suitable for me. Either the arch is too high or too far or too close. I guess I don't really have a standard face shape/brow bone placement? Maybe this product would work better if you are using it on clients or if these stencils just fit your face better.
Great brush
I use this brush daily to comb out my eyebrows before I put on any product; just to tame them a bit. I find that if you use a brow kit to define your eyebrows; using this brush in light strokes across your eyebrows will help to even out the colour and give you one very defined and smooth eyebrow. This brush is easy to wash and dries quickly. I would definately recommend this $1 brush.
Disappointment
I actually purchased 2 of these liners, one in Ash and one in Coffee. Ash was the huge disappointment for me because by the time I got it in the mail, the pencil was completely dried out. I don't even know how it's possible for a new liner to just completely dry out, but it did. I even tried sharpening it (thinking that it might just be the outter layer) but still nothing. The liner in the shade Coffee still works, but I don't really like the shade, it's a bit too light for a dark brown (which is what thought the shade was from the picture on ELF.com) it has a red tone to the colour which I don't like for my fair and Asian skin. Even though these are cheap products, I don't really recommend this. I think you will be able to find anyother cheap pencil liner at the drugstore that will give you better results.
Disappointment
This is not a good brush for smudging liner with. It is quite hard and not easy to clean. Product kind of builds up and doesn't want to come out of the hard spongy applicator. I also didn't want to scrap off the product because I was scared that the tip would snap off. This brush tends to tuge on your eyelids (which never good). Definately save your money here!
Not too impressed
I was really glad that ELF had a mechanical non-sharpening eyeliner that was such a good price. Although I'm sad to say that this product did not deliver. I find that the point isn't quite enough to create thiner lines on my eyelid. The shade of black comes out more grey-ish. It's not as smooth as some of the other eyeliners that I've used from other brands. I would say that if you are looking for a pencil that you can smudge to create smoky eyes, this might be a product you will enjoy. Otherwise I would take a pass on this ELF product.
Wrong label?
When I saw this brush I thought that the small size would make it great for concealing small blemishes on my skin. When attempting to use it, I found that the bristles were WAY to hard to do any form of concealing. I think there might be other ways to use this brush to get good use out of it. Otherwise don't fool yourself into thinking that this brush would be great for applying concealer.
Great idea
I really like this compact because you can customize the products that you want to carry around in it and it's only $1. There are choices from eyeshadows, face products and lip products. This compact is magnect and I like how each pan can be put in easily and also removing the pans are easy as well. This does come with a double ended small brush but I don't really use that. I did drop my first compact on my tiled bathroom floor and the mirror pretty much shattered, so handle this with care.
