Beauty Product Reviews
A Total disappointment. :(
I purchased Zero (black) awhile ago because everyone and their mother suggested it for it's long wearing properties. Well it failed. :( When wearing this on my lower lash line, it ran down my cheeks, didn't stay put, even when I set it with a shadow, and didn't stay on my waterline. I don't know if I bought a faulty one, but it was a totally disappointment. Sad because I had high hopes for this product! The pigmentation is a beautiful and rich black too. I can however use it as a base on my eyelid for smokey eyelids though. So, I guess, it's not a total waste.
My favorite under eye concealer/corrector
The color range for these correctors are amazing! Props to Bobbi Brown, because there is a corrector for every color, every race, and every ethnicity out there! I am extremely fair skinned and pale, about an NC15, and light bisque is the perfect match for my under-eye circles!
It's creamy, and pigmented, so you only need a very little. Extremely easy to apply because of how smooth it is, and you can even use your fingers! Covers up dark circles completely as well as brightens the under-eye area really nicely.
I am also prone to milia under my eyes, so wearing too much product can give me a breakout, but this product didn't cause a break out at all! I warn you all though, since this product is creamy and on the emollient side, deff set it with a translucent powder so it stays put all day!
Best Gel Liner EVER.
I've been using this gel liner since I was in highschool, and i must say, it's my favorite. I think it wins the award of "most repurchased beauty item" in my collection. The pigmentation to ALL the colors is pretty amazing. I have both Cobalt Ink-a dark navy & Caviar Ink-black.
Cobalt Ink is a beautiful navy that isn't a crazy, omg she's wearing blue eyeliner! It's more subtle, but it does wonders for brining out brown eyes.
Caviar Ink is a very pigmented black, and the darkest black gel liner I have ever come across.
The texture of these gels are very smooth, which makes application easy, no matter what brush you use. It's long wearing as well as water resistant (lasted over 13 hrs for me), doesn't flake off, and is easy to remove come time for bed. (w/ a make up remover)
It doesn't dry out like other gel liners do, lasts awhile because it is so pigmented, and most definitely the best gel liner out there. I am on jar #6 I believe!
Best Base Coat in the Nail Industry.
As a professional manicurist, this is the only basecoat I use/used while in the industry. This protects the nail from staining, even when using harsh dark colors like reds and burgundies. This is also a good product to use if you're trying to get your nails healthy after having artificial nails. It helps harden the nail bed back to it's normal self! :)
*Be aware though, this base coat is suppose to be sticky and thicker. So don't be alarmed when you first open the bottle, it hasn't gone rancid :)
Best Top Coat in the Nail industry.
This is the best top coat in the nail industry. When I was working as a manicurist, this is the only topcoat that lasted on nails, compared to the generic brands. The polish always stayed shiny and glossy, and this also protects the color from chipping easily, even on my clients who had problems with oily nail beds. It's fast drying, and I've used this on little girls on their birthdays, christenings, etc. And it's dries fast enough so their cute little nails never smudged! A miracle product! Also, if this is applied too thick, it does have a tendency to peel, so make sure you're not overzealous when it comes to application. A little goes a long way.
Beautiful colors, but not for oily nails.
Zoya most definitely has a beautiful range of colors, but being a licensed manicurist and having tended to lots of different clients w/ diff types of nails, this range is not the best for people who have natural oily nail beds. The polish chips fast, even with a base coat and topcoat. So if you have oily nail beds, stay away! If oily nail beds isn't a problem for you, or if you have gel, acrylic, or any other type of artificial nails, go for it. :)
Beautiful Plump lips in a little vial.
This does exactly what it promises, plumps your lips for the whole night. I have full lips, but if I want that extra sexiness, I apply this, and my lips are gorgeous! You only need a tiny little bit, no need to coat your whole lips, I like applying it to the corners of my upper lips. The vial lasts me a few months if I use it only when I go out. There's no need to use this everyday. It stings, and I've head some people have complained about it burning, but I've gotten used to it, and it doesn't even phase me anymore. If the stinging or burning really bothers you, try applying over a lipstick. :) Deff a must have for anyone who wants sexy lips! :)!
This could take off Geisha Makeup.
If you have a problem getting off your make up, then this is the product for you! This cleansing oil makes taking off make up so effortless, it's almost silly that I waited so long to give it a try. It's pricey at $78 for 450ml, but its worth it because its not stripping or drying my skin out like other make up removers. I need two pumped for my eyes and face, and I even massage this down to my neck. It works wonders, makes my skin feel clean, doesn't leave behind a weird residue, and is easily to find. If you're wary because of the price, deff wait for a Sephora Friends and Family sale to come around. You won't be disappointed! It has brightening properties too! Hooray for luminous skin!
Most over-hyped lip balm of all time.
This product is unique because of it's spear shape, and it's paraben free, and has good intentions... But as a lipbalm, it is deff. over-hyped. A cute little thing to have in your purse, but there's nothing special about it. It's waxy, sits on top of your lips, and doesn't absorb fully.
My fave brow pencil!
I love this brow product! I received this as a gift from my mom! She bought it off of QVC for me because I have problems when it comes to my brows... The first being that i sweat a lot. (sorry, was that TMI?O_O) So I usually loose my brows when I go to the gym! haha! Secondly, my brows grow downwards, so using a brow gel is crucial!!! & this product has a brow gel on the other end! yay! I have this in the shade "brunette." The color is a medium ash brown, and my brows look natural. I have full brows for the most part, but they're much more sparse on the ends. When using this product, it's not obvious that I cheated and shaded my brows in :) And since this product is both a brow pencil and gel, it's perfect for travel! I wish i could give it more stars!
