Beauty Product Reviews

LOVE

This would be five stars, but it isn't the best at staying matte & it is just silica. You can find this same powder just without the Make Up For Ever label on Coastal Scents, for wayyyyy cheaper! It's just silica! Also it can look a bit white if you apply too much... Not the best for darker skin tones!! (unless you use it really sheer)

However, it is really good & blurs out lines and pores like NO other! :) Would repurchase if I couldn't get it for cheaper other places...

not the best. but worth the extra effort

I purchased this product from my local Sephora a while back. While it does give a very natural finish that I really like, it can get VERY oily!!! :( Even just to wear this out, you have to continue applying powder and blotting almost every other hour. Also, it grabs on to dry spots and clogs pores (on me anyways).

However, even though this product takes a bit of upkeep (powdering, blotting, exfoliating your skin so it won't cake), it does look SO natural!!! It is worth the extra effort.

Does what its supposed to

I have tried this product & it does leave a very white-ish cast on my dark hair. However, after a lot of brushing, you are able to get it out!! It does make my hair look less oily looking, but it doesn't have the best smell.. I won't repurchase it though; I want to see what other brands have to offer!

I like it (:

This is a really nice pigmented powder; however, it does not have a very good staying power. It gets oily very quickly, and your going to have to reapply a lot! However, I use it just to set my concealer & I love it!!! It keeps my concealer from creasing, but doesn't look powdery at all. Very natural finish! It also gives a bit extra coverage.

One quick thing!

The side that is a "dupe" of NARS Orgasm- I feel like it really isn't a dupe at all. It's a lot less shimmery, and it seems to be a lighter version, with more pink. Orgasm looks more like a lot of gold shimmer with a hint of pink, the elf version is a peachy/pink blush with a hit of gold.

LOVE!!!!

If you want to see swatches, I have some on my blog: <a class='textlink' href='http://nailandbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/07/occ-lip-tars-tone-and-grandma-review.html' rel='nofollow noopener' target='_blank'>http://nailandbeautyblog.blogspot.c...</a>

I ADORE OCC! :) They are very long wearing and pigmented colors; better than any lip brand I have seen before! They have a slight minty taste that is perfect (not too strong for those that dislike mint). $13 did seem a bit much at first, but you are paying less than MAC for WAY better quality! Not too mention it will last you way longer since a little goes a long way!

I like this brand! (:

I purchased about 6 Sinful Colors from my local Walgreens store for about $2 each. I didn't have high expectations, but I was floored when I tried "innocent"- a lime green color. It is almost a one coater! You could get away with one coat with it, but I prefer two as it makes it more vibrant.

However, two of the colors I got were rather sheer ( a shimmery yellow and a cream pink). :( I barely use the yellow unless it is for layering, but I don't think I have touched the pink but once! It is a bit too pigmented for a french manicure color, but it isn't good enough to be alone. :( You could wear it as a jelly though.

I think this brand is hit and miss, leaning more on the hit side!! There is a few I don't like but a lot I LOVE! :)

I only use one side!

I'm extremely pale, and while I adore the Nar's Orgasm dupe (the blush side of this palette), I am not fond of the other side.

Bronzer Side: It makes my pale skin look dirty :( It also has shimmer in it, which is something to consider. It might not be the best contour color. You could use it as an eyeshadow if you don't want to waste it though!

However, the Blush side is totally worth purchasing this for! It is peachy and shimmery & compliments a variety of skin tones! :)

I wish they would sell the blush by itself. :(

Adore!!!

I really like this Coastal Scents palette & I actually reviewed it on my blog: <a class='textlink' href='http://nailandbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/coastal-scents-88-original-palette.html' rel='nofollow noopener' target='_blank'>http://nailandbeautyblog.blogspot.c...</a>

I just wish there was more of a neon yellow color with more pigmentation and a bright orange. Also you can get this palette WAY cheaper on ebay from Celia Makeup (even with shipping costs I've heard)!

Fantastic!!

I am going to write up a full and detailed review on my blog, but this product is amazing! & my Primer Potion has lasted me forever!! I have had it for a few months, using it very regularly and it isn't close to empty.
