Beauty Product Reviews
Nice creamy texture, light coverage, good price, overall a well-rounded tinted moisturizer :D
I've tried a bunch of tinted moisturizers (both drug store and high end) and this one so far is my favorite. The brand status to me is neither high end or drug store, it falls somewhere in between. The price for the VS Tinted Moisturizer is a few more dollars than an average drug store TM but still about half the price of a high end brand depending on the brand of course.
PROS: -It's light coverage (which I expect) and is great for everyday use. I like to use it along with concealer and powder. -Thick creamy consistency. It's easy to apply using my fingers or a stippling brush -There's 5 shades to choose from, I use Golden Medium -Packaging is nice and simple. You can either twist the cap off, or pop it open which I like because its a tad quicker and easier to dispense the product and I'm less likely to lose the cap that way. -Has the quality of a high end brand, however its much cheaper.
CONS: -It has a distinct sunblock scent, but that doesn't bother me too much
Nice finish, pricey, too fragrant for me
PROS - A little bit goes a long way with this primer. It leaves a nice glow and smooth finish. Since the packaging is a small flat tube, it's great for traveling :D
CONS - It costs a pretty penny for a drugstore brand (US$12.99/ 0.85-oz). It has a strong fragrance which I suppose some may like because it can be a perfume and primer all in one. but strong fragrance is not my cup o' tea when it comes to a primer since I have sensitive skin.
Overall I like how it gives a nice glow and velvety finish to my skin. If the fragrance was toned down then it'd be my go to primer, but right now I only keep it for when I travel.
Average product, good price, good for everday
Pros - It does well in evening out my skin tone and great in moisturizing which is exactly what I expect from a tinted moisturizer. Once it absorbs into my skin it leaves my skin feeling soft.
Cons - I found that the product is a little runny so I have to be extra careful when dispensing because it's easy to squeeze out too much. Another problem with it being sort of runny (as opposed to creamier) is that it takes a little more time to dry and for my skin to absorb it.
Overall, I like to use it along with a concealer for everyday use. The price is on the cheaper side compared to other tinted moisturizers I've used (12.99/1.75oz) and packaging is nice and sturdy.
