Beauty Product Reviews

My go-to eye primer.

I have this eye primer/concealer and I am really liking it. I used to use the Urban Decay Primer Potion but it's too expensive. I also use E.L.F.'s eyelid primer on a daily basis. This is an in between choice (money wise). The packaging to me is great. I love to be able to open it up (and it has a little mirror too) and just dip my finger in. I know a lot of people don't like packaging that you use your fingers but if it's for personal use and you wash your hands before handling, I don't see a problem. This way, you use up all the product...unlike UDPP which you had to cut the tube open to get it all out. It works really well for me. I use it as an under eye concealer too. It's soft and silky, blends easily. I recommend this primer.

These had me at first swatch!

I just got all 10 of these for my Valentine's Day gift from my sweet-tart. I just did a post on my blog about them tonight. I have not used them all but I have swatched them all. The colors are nicely pigmented. All are really bold and vivid for the exception of Tenacious Teal, Painted Purple, and Too Cool. These need to be built up. But I was amazed at how long lasting they are. I swatched them on the back of my hand and without a base or primer. As soon as the shadow dried up, it was set. No smudging, no budging. Wow! Even when I wanted to remove the shadows, I couldn't. LOL. Good stuff. If you find them, grab one. They sell out quickly and are hard to find. My first pair of lashes!

I love the look of false lashes but I don't know how to apply them. One day at the grocery store, I saw these for 99 cents. Awesome. I thought these would be perfect for learning how to apply lashes. I don't have any experience with false lashes so I wasn't sure what to expect. The lashes feel very artificial, plastic-y. The band, for me, didn't seem to contour to the shape of my lids very easily. The glue was useless so I used Duo. But once I saw them on, they were awesome! I loved the way they looked on. They looked natural but fuller and longer. Very pretty. I think I will get another pair. I need more practice!

Look forward to buying more.

I got my first Essence Colour & Go Nail Polish a couple of weeks ago for my 6 year old daughter because it was tiny and it was cheap. Only 89 cents! I used it today just because I needed a pink nail polish for my Pink Wednesday blog post and I used hers in Ultimate Pink. Loved it! It dried so fast and the color was so vivid. It was great. Two coats was all it took to get even, opaque coverage. There were so many colors to choose from so I definitely will be purchasing some more.

Honey Gold

This is my go to lip gloss. I wear this one just about every day. It is such a pretty pink, more subtle pink with little flecks of gold shimmer throughout. I think this shade looks lovely with all kinds of makeup looks. Too bad it was a limited edition gloss. I'm almost out of this one and it will be the only lip gloss that I have ever finished completely!

Perfect name for this polish.

I love this shade of pink. It's not your typical Barbie girl or bubble gum pink. It's more of dusty rose, mauve even. It's very romantic and refined looking. This can be an everyday shade of nail polish or I can see it as a classy nail polish for a little black dress. I say it's even work appropriate. It's very lady like, perfect name for my perfect shade of pink.

Really good stuff!

I used this nail polish for the first time a few days ago. I have this in Lime. I do have to say that it took me 3 coats to get a perfect, uniform finish. I don't like doing more than 2 coats but this vibrant shade deserved the 3 coats. It's a cream finish with lots of shine. I like it. Period.

Frosted Fuchsia

Oh my goodness you guys, I love this color. Like seriously love it. I did my nails this color today and I can't stop looking at my nails! The color is so pretty and vibrant. And the finish is very glossy. It's perfect!

I've used this for years!

The main reason I used this product for so many years was because I sold Avon. Now that I don't, this is still one product I continue to buy. It's like a lotion. It's creamy. It works well at removing makeup without having to rub so hard. That helps me since I am already experiencing wrinkly eyelids. My biggest con is that it stings my eyes if I happen to get it in my eyes. Just be careful. It's moisturizing and not oily.

Do not wear alone.

I don't see how E.L.F. can say they are crease resistant! They crease almost instantly on me. I do think they are easy to blend and they are very creamy. I like the look you get when you apply them to your lids, a nice wash of color, but they will crease so I like to use them under my powder eyeshadow as a base. That works really well! I have almost all of them. I am missing Berry Mix and I do plan on purchasing that one too. You can check out my blog for swatches!
