Not My Favorite
Trendsetting in Tokyo is not my favorite from the Stila Travel Palette series. I love the packaging and most of the colors. I guess I just don't get the Shibuya (blue) color. It's definitely more of an accent color and for me, I just didn't think it went well with the rest of the palette but maybe that's how it is in Tokyo?? Sake and Kawai are my two favorite colors. Sake is a great highlight color. Kawai is a pretty pink. "Peace Sign" is a nice shimmery black. I really like the Sakura Convertible Color. It gives my cheeks a natural looking flush. It's a great deal though. Ten bucks and you get 4 shadows and a convertible color.
A Favorite
I have all the colors! I absolutely love Stila's Lip and Cheek Stains. As long as you're lips are moisturized before you apply them, it won't dry your lips out. You can go as light or dark as you want with all the shades. A couple coats for a touch of color and for a more intense color just layer it on. I love how you can eat and drink and the color doesn't fade. Adding a lip glaze also helps keep them from drying out but wait until it's set a bit before you do. That way, even if the lip gloss wears off, the stain will still be there :-)
Amazing!
These are a definite must have from Stila! I love them. They are great as eyeliners and as a base. They blend easily and they come in great colors. Lionfish has to be one of my favorites - great for every day use. Sting Ray is a great black and makes smokey eyes a breeze. I've used silver dollar on my water line and it lasted all day. Once they set, they don't smudge! I've got them in every shade :-)
Pretty Glow
I love these. There is also a third shade called Rose ( I think - not quite sure of the name). The Gold is a great highlight color and the Bronze is very nice for giving you that all over bronze glow. Rose is like a sheer pink blush that gives you a healthy glow to your cheeks. They are great for finishing off your look. I use them a lot during the Spring and Summer.
Doesn't Budge!
Once this mascara dries, it doesn't budge! It definitely holds up to the "smudge proof" label :-) It is a little bit of a dry formula but doesn't flake off. It curls and lengthens my lashes very well. If you make a mistake, act quick to get it off because as I've said, once it dries - it's on there! The "big" side isn't too big and it gets my lashes really well. The "small" side is perfect for the lower lash line. I can wear this all day long and even after working up a sweat on a run, it doesn't budge. Washing my face with warm water and a cleanser is the only way I can get this completely off at the end of the day :-)
Amazing!
I got a deluxe sample size of this inside the Make Up Forever Rock 4 Ever set from Sephora. I absolutely love it! It is so fine and leaves my skin feeling silky soft. I use a kabuki brush and first press the powder into my skin, then I buff it in. It hasn't left my face chalky and does a great job of setting my foundation. The only reason I don't use it every single day is because I love it so much and I don't want to run out of it so quickly. I use this whenever I have a special event to go to and I want to look flawless :-)
A Great Palette
This is a great palette for anyone who loves to play with colors. It has so many and for a great price. I'm just learning how to work with colors and these work pretty good. Just make sure to have a good base to help the colors stay and pop.
My attempt at using bright colors from the 88 Palette:
Great for Everday
This was the very first palette I ordered from Too Faced. I was not disappointed. Since I'm a beginner, I really liked having the "how to" cards for the different style suggestions. Of course, you can combine the 9 colors anyway you want. I didn't really care for the applicator. It was just too small for me. My favorite is the "Classic" look. It just worked the best for me. I love doing a neutral brown smokey eye with this palette too. I think it's great for anyone who wants to have a more natural look and for beginners, like me.
Here is a pic of me with "Classic" Natural Eye:
Just Ok For Me.
This isn't a bad primer. For me, it's just ok. The Skin Tone shade is very close to my skin tone. It does a good job of keeping the shadow from moving, but it still creased on me. Too Faced Shadow Insurance and UD Primer Potion work the best for me because of my oily lids.
