It truly cuts down drying time
Every so often, I’m amazed at a product actually delivering on the promise. This is one such product. With one or two drops per nail, my polish actually dries in a fraction of a time. Due to the cost, I don’t use the product every time I do my nails. I still go through the product in a remarkably fast time. Keep a sanitized standard dropper around if you decide to purchase it. You’ll need it to get the last quarter of the bottle as the dropper can’t reach all of the parts.
One great liner that doesn’t budge.
This liquid liner is sold nearly everywhere. It offers one of the darkest blacks around and truly doesn’t budge after a long day on the oiliest of lids. Due to the packaging, I rarely see the product dry up where pen liners do so a bit too quickly. The sponge tip can draw an incredibly dark line and yet, with pressure, widen the line just as easily. In time, the brush point breaks down but that’s part of using a sponge tip. I wish they would increase the color range as it’s really a fantastic product.
Nice packaging but be prepared to reapply throughout the day
The packaging is great. I do love finding it in my handbag without looking. I also enjoy the smell of the product. However, product doesn’t hydrate my lips any more than products of a lesser or equal price. I found myself reapplying several times throughout the day. If you’re in search for an organic, paraben and petrolatum free product with clever packaging, this will be right up your alley. If you are searching for lasting, deep penetrating hydration for your lips, then you might have to find another product.
An amazing and affordable product
These little tubes of joy are truly worth the hype. These are highly pigmented, incredibly moisturizing, and offers an amazing range of colors. Add to that they are affordable and are now sold everywhere. My only suggestion is make sure and exfoliate your lips first as they will accentuate chapped lips.
Fantastic for all skin tones
I’m finding it very hard to find something negative to write about the Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. It has great pigmentation for all skin types and lip pigmentation. It’s incredibly moisturizing and bereft of any annoying scent. The packaging is sleek with a nice cap that never comes off. The price is incredibly reasonable. There have been years when it is the only lip product I possessed in my makeup stash. Though my tastes have broadened through the years, I’ll always go back to this product.
No shine, lacks pigmentation, and is very sticky
I decided to try this product for mere dollar. Personally, I’m not a fan of a lot of shine but this lacked any shine whatsoever. I think labeling a product “hypershine” and providing no shine is a bigger problem than the lack of pigmentation and incredibly sticky feeling. It’s incredibly affordable, but that’s about it. There are some products I absolutely adore from e.l.f. The Hypershine Gloss is not one of them.
Problematic packaging
I really wanted to try this product. Though it is incredibly smooth and moisturizing, the product lacks the pigmentation for people with incredibly pigmented lips. I do love that the product is dispensed by twisting the bottom. However, I have a problem with the somewhat loose cap. On more than one occasion, the cap came off thus getting product all over the inside of my makeup bag. After using much of the product, I can twist enough of it inside the chamber. It remains problematic, especially when the product is new and much of it is outside of the chamber. Though I like it, I tend to grab other tinted lip butter-like products more often.
Not great for oily skin
While using this moisturizer, I had to purchase an additional product. I find it difficult to enjoy a daily moisturizer bereft of any sun protection. It’s also formulated for normal to dry or dry skin. It just doesn’t work for my skin which leads more to the oily side. If your skin leans to the dry side and you have a fantastic sun protector, then go for it. It’s just not for me.
A small amount of product but great price
Though there is a small amount of product, I can’t get over the fact that it’s only a dollar. It’s also compact and easy to throw inside a makeup bag. The brow set and mascara are not the same formula but I tend to use both to set my brows. The formula keeps my brows in place all day.
A hit for many but a miss for me
This mascara can be found anywhere that sells cosmetics and for as little as $4 in some places. It is truly a powerhouse in the industry. I’ve read that it’s the best selling mascara. However, there is a large difference between the best selling and the best performing mascara. I’ve not been a fan of the formula. It clumps on my lashes. Within an hour, the mascara travelled everywhere. There was neither volume nor length but I continued to repurchase this product during my earliest years of cosmetics experience. It’s not for me but it does work for a large population.
