A total must have!
After all the nail tutorials I've seen, everyone seems to use Seche Vite. So I thought I'd give it a try and this stuff is no joke! It definitely dries fast for a top coat and I love it, because I am very impatient when it comes to waiting. I've also noticed the difference in how my nails are presented after I started using this product. My nails look perfectly coated, very smooth and shiny.
I've recently taken a break from using Burt's Bees and switched over to using EOS, but I'm not going to lie... I still love Burt's Bees. I love the cooling sensation I get on my lips right after I apply it on. This stuff is especially handy to have during the winter season. I had really chapped lips and this stuff fixed my lips up right away.
I've been using Bare Minerals for over 2 years now and I absolutely love it! Since I'm in between on skin tones, the girl that helped me at Sephora had me mix tan with golden medium. And since I do tend to get on the oily side at times, she suggested that I use the SPF 15 Matte Foundation. I love how it makes my face still look natural and not caked on like other foundations.
China Glaze Nail Lacquer with Hardeners is another one of my favorite nail lacquer brands to buy. I have a pretty big collection of China Glaze aside from my OPI collection. China Glaze is just a couple dollars cheaper than OPI and it works just about the same.
I usually buy my China Glaze from Sally's Beauty Supply, since they're a couple bucks cheaper than buying from Ulta. A friend of mine buys hers from Trans Design, but their shipping is ridiculous. It's only worth buying from there if you buy more than enough bottles.
I've been using the MAC Brush Cleanser since I've gotten back into wearing makeup just a couple of years ago. I use this cleanser on all my brushes, not just my MAC brushes and it works great! I usually pour about a cap full of the cleanser onto my mineral and powder brushes and massage it into the brush. I love when you can see the excess makeup just drip right out of the bristles. As for smaller brushes, I use about half a cap full. I soak the brush in the cap, swash it around and also massage the bristles. MAC's Brush Cleanser works wonderful and I wouldn't use any other cleanser for my brushes.
OPI is one of my favorite brands to buy for nail lacquers. YES, they are expensive but totally worth the money. OPI can last up to 2 weeks on my nails before they start to chip, which I absolutely LOVE. They have a wide selection of colors and collections that it's always hard for me to decide which colors to buy each week.
Affordable
I have 3 colors of Sinful Colors polishes: Hottie (a glittery blue), Forget Now (a reddish/magenta color with a little sparkle), and Cloud 9 (golden orange). I was hesitant to buy this brand, since I found them for $1.99 at Target. But I couldn't resist, because of their colors. I was surely fooled. Although this brand is pretty cheap, it doesn't look cheap at all. It lasts me over a week like more expensive polishes before they start to chip.
I'm a huge gloss person over using lipstick and I've been using Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Lip Glosses for several years now. My favorite one is the Melonrageous color. It gives my lips a great shine and looking plump.
My 2 year old daughter has recently noticed that her grandma also uses these lip glosses and asks to get some on her lips. Like grandma, like mother, like daughter, huh?
Recently, I've gone pretty crazy over nail polish and luckily limiting myself to buying 2 bottles/week. I usually always bypass the Sally Hansen section at Target and go straight for Nicole by OPI or Sinful Colors, but Sally Hansen colors definitely catch my eye. So I tried out their "Gunmetal" color. The color looks fab, but applying it to my nails wasn't that great. I have small and short nails, so their brush was too thick for me. It was hard to get to the sides of my nails without getting a bunch of the polish on the sides of my skin. So I would only recommend this brand to people with longer nails.
I first saw these EOS Lip Balms on MadforKat's YouTube hauls. I thought they looked pretty cute. When I saw them at Ulta, I couldn't resist to try them out. I went for the Summer Fruit and Honeydew ones. They both smell AMAZING! They keep my lips moist all day while I'm at work. No need to reapply, although I'm trying to break that habit (due to being used to reapplying Burt's Bees all the time).
