A really great foundation for a quick look when I have no time. I went into my local chemist a few weeks before Christmas looking for a foundation that would literally be as quick as a tinted moisturiser and I picked this up because it was coming up to the holiday season and everyone gets a bit tired.
The colour I picked (which I literally have no idea what it is cause I can't find my bottle at the moment!!) suited my pale skin really well. My skin isn't so oily during the winter so I can't tell what this will wear like when my skin returns to normal but it is a lovely natural, dewy finish that really just makes you look healthy.
I always use a foundation brush to put on my foundation - no matter how quickly I need it done, no matter what look I'm going for and no matter what foundation it is - due to the fact I have oily, acne prone skin and I find that the foundation brush is a more hygienic way of doing it.
Because I always use my foundation brushes once before I deep clean them, I have a lot of them and I literally have tried most brands. Honestly, I find most of them to be the same.
This brush, however, isn't a good as the others. The bristles are packed tight and the brush itself nearly has a silky feel to it. Therefore when I use it with my liquid foundations, it tends to hold too much product for me and doesn't blend it well. It goes nearly streaky and requires more work to fix it. I find that it works really, really well with my mousse foundation that I used to use.
For it being oil free it seemed to have a really oily consistency to me. I didn't like it at all.
I started using this quite some time ago (and stopped very soon afterwards) and I was told that it would be equal coverage to a tinted moisturiser. I wanted something really lightweight on my face for a Summer dossing around the house and spending far too much time outdoors but to even out my skin tone.
It came off way too easily and it didn't look natural on my ridiculously pale skin either (I used the lightest one). The girl assured me it would fit with it and I stupidly didn't ask her to try it all over my face, only doing a test bit.
I'm not sure the exact logic of why I really hated this product but it literally went into the bin quicker than anything else I'd bought this expensive.
& honestly. I didn't think it covered any imperfections or evened out my skin tone. To me it was just splodges of colour whatever way I applied it.
Saw this on youtube before it was released on a few different people - most people where wearing the shade Violletta and I thought it was absolutely divine - it looked just as good in real life so I definitely had to buy all of the colours (*hits self* BAD LOUISE.)
I absolutely love matte looks in all forms of make-up and I never really found a decent matte nail varnish before but this is absolutely gorgeous!
Edit: After wearing all the colours I have a serious downfall - it chips like HELL! I mean, I literally put it on (without a top or base coat so I get the full colour affect) and it chips within an hour.
I definitely need to look into getting a matte base and top coat - but even using a normal base coat the colours aren't affected (apart from the black which appears shiny!)
The red is horrible though. I ended up giving that away. It looked really nice on the website but it ended up having an orangey tone to it that didn't suit my skin tone.
Literally my winter saviour!
I get ridiculous dry patches during the winter that I just can't seem to get rid off! My problem is that I have problem, oily skin and when I switch to a heavier moisturiser my oily skin just riots - I also have tried heavier moisturisers at night but I break out.
I love this so much because I can literally lather as much on as I need at night and wake up without any dry patches. As well as that, I can dab on a bit during the day if I dry up around my nose (from the annoying winter colds I get!), the apples of my cheeks or the centre of my forehead!
I don't break out from putting it on and I have absolutely no problems with it making me oiler.
My only concern is that it takes ages to dry into the skin, so for a while my skin glistens - although when I put it on my cheeks - it makes an awesome highlighter :P
Once you get used to the smell, it is amazing
What I really love about this lip product is that it comes in a lipstick kind of container. It definitely keeps my lips soft in the harsh winter weather we are having at the minute.
One thing must be said, is that if you aren't used to the eight hour products smell, then it does take getting used too. Personally, I love it though!
Works brilliantly - but not sure if this is really worth the price just to get it in a hardened form as you get less and pay the same as the celebratory jar that is in the same line!
Cheap - Exactly the way I like it with brushes as I like to clean mine a lot so if they are cheap, I can buy two and swap them in/out while I deep clean brushes and let them dry!
Good Quality - I've had mine for quite some time now and I can't say there is even a hair out of place. What more could you want?
OMGSOSOFT - *strokes them*
Natural/Eco-Friendly - Makes me feel sunny and warm inside knowing I am not harming the world we live in!
All Time Favourite!!
Literally my favourite make-up thing ever.
I found this a few years ago and it is my go-to mascara. I have such pale skin, with freckles, and pink cheeks (I imagine you all thinking I am a clown now - I ain't.. for the record.) and I can't get away with dark eyes with black mascara unless I go for the very dramatic look. Also I have really short hair, meaning that if my eyes are very dramatic, it is literally the highlight of my look.
With saying that - this plum mascara is just perfect. It is dark enough to really bring out my eyes, and has a hint of purple that makes it a fun look! I love it. I can't explain how much I love it!
Also, I'd like to point out that if you could just buy the exact same bottle/tube/mascara thingie-majig in black, brown and blue, I would - but no Benefit for some reason has to have a different brush and size for all them :S
I like this but I've still no idea what it does! It just kind of makes my skin feel really soft and I want to stroke my cheek and sing something.
On a really bad point - I got this about a year and a half ago when I wasn't willing to spend that much on make-up, especially on something which I had no idea what it did, cause I was a poor student. I thought it was going to last forever, but I was totally dismayed by the fact that it dried, cracked and became unusable over time.
I tried a few tips from youtubers liking sticking it in the fridge but I ended up having to just throw it out and buy a new one. For such a big tin, I thought it would last much longer, especially since I used it practically everyday and I still hadnt finished it after that length of time!
