Beauty Product Reviews
Was kind of skeptical buying a shampoo and conditioner from bath & body works
This shampoo partnered with it's conditioner counterpart provided a sensual experience in the shower. The scent was invigorating and lasted long after my shower even after all the cigarettes I smoked. Moving on to the more important benefits, it left my hair so light, full of volume and with a lustrous shine.
Really good, long lasting, vibrant color. I have the most sensitive skin in the world and break out from using blush and bronzer so I'm especially picky when it comes to either of the two.
Rule of thumb for me is that everything Sephora carries caters to sensitive skin. I chose Nars because of everything good I've read and heard about. I've also seen it in countless beauty tutorials showcased in magazines like allure and vogue...decided to give it a try.
Contrary to MAC blush that made me break out and made my face appear more porous (I'm guessing because it's just a difference in ingredients) Nars caused me no issues
Felt like I was washing my face with royal icing
I am one of those people that can't say no when approached to try something and buy it. Unfortunately for me there was a philosophy event at Sephora and I was trapped into buying this even though I have an army of kiehls products at my disposal.
She was able to sell it to me by explaining this was the same stuff chemo patients used because they were to have absolutely no chemicals on their face and that it would leave skin soft and supple, removing even the toughest eyeliner and mascara yet staying true to it's description: gentle as possible.
Ugh, it dried out so easily but I still loved it and do notice my eye shadow has the capacity to stay until dawn of the next day if worn with a complimenting base. The problem with base for me is that it skews the colour almost too much or sometimes creates a cake texture along the crease. Foundation and concealer are almost adequate bases if you don't feel like shelling out the additional $18.50
OPI is hands down the best nail polish I've ever had the luxury of trying. It goes on with great ease and success and comes in a remarkable collection of colors. You'd have to get manicures 3 times a week to try every color! I love that it's the perfect medium of matte and illustrious. Mermaid tears never looked so pretty :)
It's almost like washing your face with a creamy milk cleanser
Or imported silk from the south pacific. Without the help of makeup remover, it removed waterproof mascara and eyeliner and all accumulated impurities and left me feeling clean and confident to spend the night at 'his' house. I wake up looking fifteen again and I'm 21, avid smoker and caffeine consumer.
They were out of the Ultra Facial oil-free cleanser so....
The cashier smoothly recommended this alternative. He explained that fans of the Ultra Facial Oil Free Cleanser tend to fall in love with the 'Rare Earth' cleanser. Fall in love with it I did. It adhered to it's descriptive promise and minimized the appearance of my crater like pores and left my skin feeling silky smooth and soft. I feel confident in my natural beauty and without makeup each day I use any of the highly addictive kiehls products.
I don't know what compelled me to get this particular jar (they have an abundant assortment, I wish beginners the best of luck in choosing since inside, the reality is, we want one of everything please!) but I saw lifting and firming and figured it couldn't backfire. The cream is silky soft, a reminiscent of dead sea products working just as well for half the price. I am in love with this store the way I was in love with MAC cosmetics at 17!!
p.s. the real rating is 5 stars, it failed to scroll over sorry!
