Beauty Product Reviews
LOVE LOVE LOVE
Hands down my favorite concealer ever. Gives amazing coverage of all my dark spots and blemishes, as well as the mild rosacea on one side of my face. Another huge plus about this product is that a little bit goes a long way, so you get sooo much use out of one tube. It's also super inexpensive, which I can't hate. ;) Overall, a GREAT concealer for what you pay.
Didn't Quite Get What I Was Expecting...
The lipstick itself is of pretty good quality. I would prefer a little longer wear, but the formula is nice and creamy and the pigmentation is great. My issue is that the picture on the website was nothing like the shade I actually got. Which sucks, because I LOVED the shade shown in the picture, and what I got was pretty much the exact shade as one of my NYX lipsticks. Overall, I'll definitely buy more of these...I'll just be sure to do it at Target and NOT online.
Love It!
Awesome product for the price. My order just came a few days ago, so I haven't been using it long enough to know how well the "treat" serum works, but the "tame" gel works wonders! The color blends in very nicely with my eyebrows and it held my brows in place all day. Definitely recommend!
Hate it.
I bought this product to use in instances when I didn't have time to wash my hair. First off, every single time I've used it, it has turned my hair gray. When I finally get the gray combed out, my hair is just as oily as before. To make matters worse, it leaves flaky looking clumps in my hair, so not only is my hair greasy, but I look like I have dandruff. I seriously hate this product - I've followed the instructions to a T, only to find my hair looking worse than before. Would NOT recommend this dry shampoo.
Not a bad product, but they're not for me
They're effective at removing my makeup, and they have a nice smell. However, I have extremely sensitive skin around my eyes and these towelettes irritate them pretty bad. They also leave my skin feeling shiny and oily. They certainly do what they're supposed to, though; they thoroughly remove your makeup. Good product, just not the right one for me.
This is my go-to mascara. I already have naturally very long lashes, so I don't need a lengthening mascara. This provides me with the perfect amount of volume to balance them out. Doesn't clump or flake; overall just a great mascara, and inexpensive! Love love love.
Ehhh...
I just bought one of these balms for the first time last night (I think it's Strawberry Sorbet?) after wanting one for forever. I LOVE the packaging; it's very unique, fun and cute. The flavor is not bad, kind of smells/tastes like dollar store lip balm but like I said, not terrible. The one thing I'm not too pleased with is that it's nowhere near as smooth as I'd like it to be. I put it on expecting it to glide across my lips, but instead it just kind of dragged. I rubbed my lips together and it felt like it had just made my lips more dry. So I basically have to apply quite a bit of the product for it to actually moisturize my lips...not so cool. But all in all it's not a terrible product...I honestly might buy another when this one runs out just because of how cute the packaging is. Haha
I used to use the Neutrogena makeup remover towelettes, but I saw the Yes To Blueberries version of these on Beautylish and wanted to try them out. Unfortunately, my local drug store didn't have Yes To Blueberries, but they did have Yes To Cucumbers. I was hesitant at first after reading mixed reviews on these, but I'm glad I gave them a try! They effectively remove all of my makeup without me having to scrub at my face, and they don't leave my skin feeling oily like the Neutrogena ones do. I also love the smell, so that's a plus. They also cost slightly less than the Neutrogena ones (only by a dollar, but hey...) and come with 5 more towelettes in a pack. Overall, I love and recommend them!
I've been on a budget lately (with a baby girl due next month :D), so as badly as I've wanted to splurge on Urban Decay's Primer Potion, I decided to go a less expensive route and try the NYX Eyeshadow Base. I've only tried Skin Tone so far but I'm going to purchase the other two as well. It's a great primer - holds my eye makeup in place and is excellent at preventing creasing. It's super smooth and creamy and makes my shadows blend much more nicely. Of course it's not as great as UDPP or Too Faced Shadow Insurance, but it gets the job done well for only $7.00!
I purchased this foundation in a shade that LOOKED like a perftect match...upon first applying it, it seemed to match my skin. However, as I rubbed it in and it started to dry, it became at LEAST and entire shade darker. I didn't want to waste an entire bottle, so I had to walk around looking like an oompa loompa for a good period of time. Once I used it all up, I went to the store and decided to try the same foundation in a lighter shade (I actually ended up having to go two shades lighter, in order to get a perfect match), but I was really taking a gamble because the lighter shade appeared to be WAY too pale for my complexion. However, I took it home and tried it out, and sure enough, it dried about two shades darker and matched my skin perfectly. All was not well this time around, though - the foundation did not offer great coverage and did little to even out my skin. If I do build it up to get the coverage and even coloration that I need, it gets cakey and oily-looking. Overall, NOT a huge fan of the product and once I use it all up, I'll definitely be going in a different direction with my foundation.
