Beauty Product Reviews
It's a hit or miss...
I don't have the products with me right now but my mother had brought three of Milani's Nail Lacquers in a light french pink, black, and a berry pink. Two of which(the french pink and black) are pictured above but I can't quite remember the color names.
The problem I have with these polishes is it's inconsistancy, one nail polish might be great, pigmented, just the right thickness, and everything good while another could be terribly pigmented, far too runny, and just no good.
For example, the berry color was fantastic. The product was just the right amount of thick and you only needed one coat! The black though, was a whole other story.
When I putted it on, it was runny and extremely sheer, so sheer it was a brown instead of black. You could even see the marks where there is abit more product(darker) and where there is less(see through dirty brown.) It seems no matter how many layers I put in, it always looked sheer, dirty, and messy. I'm not a fan of that look.
However, a redeeming point is that these polishes are cheap and are often on sale at CVS! This way, the misses aren't too much of a loss and the hits are a great find.
Overall, I'm slightly dissapointed but I'd purchase again for the berry color and maybe try out other colors.
Can make do
To be completely honest, I've only ever used two heat protectants, this being one of them. So I can't give too much of a comparison but rather give the review based on my hair.
I usually spray some product into my hair and then squeeze a few squirts on my hand, which I then rub on to the my ends. I find that despite using this product, my hair suffers but that's to be expect considering no product can give full protection to the hair from heat.
However, I find that my hair no longer burns like it used to(I could litterally smell my hair cooking before.) Another plus to this product is that it doesn't stink. I also really like the packaging because it spritzs just the right amount.
A few warnings would be to not use too much in one area, it'll make your hair stick together in goops and look oily. Rather, just spritz once in one place, and move on. Then if you feel you missed a spot, squirt some in your hands and apply more product there.
Overall, it's average and I want to try out more products before repurchasing.
Not just a lip stain, also a cheek stain!
It's a great stain not just for the lips but also for the cheeks! It also stays on for hours and doesn't dry me or my sister's lips out. I've had it for a few months now and the product is still a good texture, it hasn't dried out at all.
I had gotten the stain in the color Passion and it's very true to it's color. The only problem for me is that the color is far too dramatic for me but I just place a dab in the center of my lips and then blend it out with my finger, it gives me a nice settle stain that lasts for quite a few hours. I also use the balm to give my lips some moisture.
I love the balm, the only problem is that when you remove the cap and put it back on, it pushes the balm off. So a change in packaging will definitely help.
I also use it as a cheek tint and it worked just as well. I tried it out on my sister and it lasted for ages on the skin!
Overall, great product that I would and will repurchase!
