Pretty long wearing
The most interesting thing to me about this lipstick, how small the bullet is! Not length but diameter. I am IMPRESSED with this because not all of us have voluptuous lips. This makes it easier to put on (for me) than other wider lipsticks. I do wish that it would retract all the way into the actual tube so I do not accidentally it it with the cap (which I am bound to do!). It does last for hours through drinking and eating.
The formula is not super drying and the product applies evenly and is highly pigmented. I bought this is Forever Fuschia and it is VERY pretty. I will probably buy more of these eventually. The only thing about this lipstick is that I think it is around ten dollars and because the width of it is smaller you do get less product. It says .09oz. The black label NYX is .15oz and my Maybelline is around the same size as the NYX (just the drugstore references I have that are slightly lower price points). Something to consider. It doesn't last all day so you will have to reapply one to two times throughout a full day.
I think I bought the dud
I bought this in Candy Pink a few months ago. I thought it would be this pretty pink that it advertises on the package. Oh, how wrong I was. This is why I hate buying drugstore make up. I cannot see what it looks like, there is no sample to swatch and it is wrapped up all nicely (which I understand that part). So I get home and I open it up, the tube itself does not even match the color on the package and to make it worse, it has only a tinge of pigment!
It seems more of a sheer tint than anything else. I have come to use this on days that I feel like putting something on but not doing my make up. Not because I like it but because I payed for it. It has not dried out my lips at all, it just doesn't do much of anything for them.
Reading the rest of these reviews makes me want to try a different color, maybe it is just this one? I like the packaging though.. it is pretty. And for that I give it an additional half star.
LOVE this eye cream
I have tried so many eye creams it's not even funny. I (of course) was initially attracted to the packaging for this product and how spa-like it looked. And since I am more of at "at-home-DIY-spa" kind of girl I went ahead and checked out the testers.
I am slightly upset that this was not out before I had purchased a crap ton of shiseido items (which are FABULOUS).. I could have saved a crap ton of money! This line is high quality! Unfortunately I was able to restrain myself from buying everything in this line... at least until every last drop my my Shiseido products are GONE.
I DID pick this glorious product up last time I was at Sephora with Angela W. She convinced me that if it is for the health of my skin, it is OK to buy. Thanks, friend forever! This is a pretty dense eye cream that leaves a slight cooling feeling after applying it under the eye. It isn't too cool where it is shocking but more of a relaxing cooling effect than a "wide-awake-now refresh" kind of cool. It has kept my under eye area pretty supple considering I put on and take off make up a ridiculous amount of times in one day.
I do not have super dark circles under my eyes, but I have noticed that the skin there looks a bit brighter after applying the product. Light defusers maybe?
Since the product is so thick, you need a very little amount when you apply it. So I think it is definitely worth the money!
This product is making me pretty excited to use the rest of the skin care line to see how it works together with everything else. Although, this product itself is FANTASTIC as a stand alone product.
A super unique brush!
I am super picky on my high end mascaras. I usually only buy them when they are samples that I get in a palette or when I buy them off of Hautelook, On occasion, I will go ahead and splurge on hyped mascaras to see what its about. This time, I was lucky enough to have been sent this precious gem before it was released. I have to admit, I was intrigued by this mascara. It had a flash sale in 6 cities... how can I not be interested in a mascara that the company is hyping like crazy?
Well Benefit, I have to hand it to you... You guys know your mascaras.
There are many aspects of this mascara that makes it stand out among the others so it is hard to decide where to start!
The formula is not too wet and not too dry. It is super black, non clumpy, non smudging AND light weight. I do not have to use a primer for this mascara, it applies well and when it dries, my lashes do not feel brittle or stiff. They feel soft and smooth and it does not weigh down my eyes. Since the formula dries to a flexible finish, my lashes have not been breaking or falling out as much, which is lovely!
Now.. the pink elephant in the room.. the brush. This is an interesting brush. When I first took a peek at it I thought to myself "Holy cow.. that's a lot of brush!" The bristles are rubber and staggered from tall to short and at the tip of the brush, it is domed off with longer rubber "spikes".
It claims that when used horizonally you will achieve length and volume and when used vertically you can curl, define and lift.
To be honest, I curl my lashes before I use mascara.. so I can't confirm the curling claim. I WILL confirm that it makes my lashes look bigger and longer and the formula is amazing! I seriously did not know what they meant by "silky" lashes. I see now, they feel so soft, I can move them and they don't stick to each other when I blink...
I have been using this since I have received it and I can see why this is already sold out! This has become a staple in my make up routine, especially this summer where all I wear is tinted moisturizer and this mascara. I just hope they come back in stock before I run out of mine!!
Pearly, bright and fun colors
I bought this pretty blindly. I saw the browns and a bright pink and clicked "check out". I can't say I am disappointed with it since I use it pretty much every weekend (when I primarily wear make up). I have had it for about a month and a half or so now.
I just love UD's eyeshadow. The texture is always so soft and super pigmented. Of course it comes with Whiskey. So now I will never run out of whiskey eyeliner since that seems to be their staple color they have been putting in palettes (which I do not mind as it is my favorite brown liner of all time). It also comes with a sample lip junkie in Crush which is fabulous and I am for SURE buying the full size. I already was pretty sure I wanted it, but now I love it and wear it daily.
If you love the cowboy collection...
How could anyone who loves midnight cowboy not like this collection?! It has 3 amazing cowboy shades and ROMP which is pretty much my new favorite blurple (IT IS SO PRETTY!!!). I also love the Lip Junkie Gloss, it is a full size too! Can't go wrong with that, it gives the perfect shimmer over any color.
This is my favorite palette for a sparkly neutral night out. I am just happy that Urban Decay had finally put this together, it was a long time coming. I think the only thing they should have done differently is also give us a nice sample of the Midnight Cowboy Body Shimmer Lotion.. only because it is less likely for me to buy a full size of that without trying it first!
Can't complain too much though because I am quite happy with this set!
Not bad for what you pay for
The only similarity I find between this and Nars is the package size. Other than that Nars will always trump ELF blushes. However, with that said, it is not a bad product by any means. It has is pretty good amount of pigmentation and is blends nicely. They come in matte as well as shimmer shades which is nice when you do not want to achieve a glorious glitter glam fest on your face! I think I will be purchasing more of the blushes when I am done with the ones I have just purchased.
What are these?
I am serious. What are these? They smell delicious (Vanilla frosting), they go on smooth, they dry matte. What?! I love it and it confuses me all at the same time. Lasts longer than a gloss, about as long as a normal lipstick. But it is not a lipstick either. It's matte.. and mattes normally are quite drying but this is not. I do not get it, but I am happy I have it... I need more. This is great!
Usable
I only wish that it would give off the rich olive color (I love it!) throughout the application. It is soft enough...maybe even too soft... it just doesn't really apply all that evenly for me. I guess I expected it to be more like a gel.. but it is really a light weight cream which has its pros and cons. The pros: it is smudgable if you would like to do a more smoked out look, it could probably serve as a base for shadows and it does feel a bit less cakey than some gel liners feel. The downside is that I think this is the reason it doesn't apply evenly, it wears faster than a gel and if you do not want it to smudge, it takes a bit longer for it to set itself.
I bought this using the 50% off code that Tiffany H. supplied, so it was worth the investment ($1.50) for me!
American Girl
This is the natural color blush that I have been searching for! You can control how much of the blush goes into the sifter, which is fantastic since sometimes you just want a little flush of color... and sometimes you just want to look like you are working the red light district.
Either way, you can decide. I have this in the lightest color (I believe) and it is extremely pigmented so a little goes a long way. I am definitely buying the other colors I was eyeing!
