Drama for sure!
This is a truly black mascara. And I mean BLACK. It builds volume for sure, I don't know if anyone else has this problem with this mascara, but if I curl my lashes and use this, the formula is so wet that I almost always get it on my lids. Maybe it just doesn't dry fast enough, or my tube is slightly off.. I am not too sure.
With that being said, you do not need to curl your lashes with this mascara since it makes it looks like you have a bazillion lashes. It lasts a long time, in fact for me, it lasts so long that it takes me two good showers to get the mascara off completely lol. Which I don't know is a good or bad thing, but lemme tell you.. YSL knows what they are doing. It is pricey so I am not sure I would recommend this mascara to everyone. It is on the clumpier side if you apply too much. The brush is pretty standard, I wish it was more like the Maybelline Falsie's brush so it would separate my lashes better. It is a great mascara and if it is in your budget, go for it. If not, I really believe that Falsies can be a decent alternative!
Moisturizer with GREAT coverage.
I have been trying to wear tinted moisturizer during the day as opposed to foundation since the moisturizer has the added SPF in it PLUS coverage. It saves me the extra step of adding sunscreen, although I probably should. I tried a few out at Sephora I wanted to love the Urban Decay one (i liked the packaging better) but I ended up trying this one which has a larger shade variety and better application. Since I am mixed race it is harder to find shades that aren't too pink or too yellow and Nude has been working out fantastic for me so far. Even though it it feels light weight I get a decent amount of coverage and it is pretty buildable. It leaves a soft finish on my face (no illuminating sparkles!!) which I like and definitely helps me with dry skin I get during the changing seasons. I think it is $42.00 (US) but it is worth the investment!
Awesome colors, stupid packaging
I have quite a few pigments from Urban Decay. I hate the packaging, I think I am going to go ahead and put them in different containers. I cannot understand the thought process behind putting a brush applicator in it. WHY?! The product itself is fantastic though, I use pigments wet and the colors are vibrant and beautiful. But really stupid, STUPID packaging.
Love this formula!
I absolutely love the way this foundation applies. It feels smooth and never gets cake like. Depending on the occasion I can build the color up or keep it light which is great for me because some days I need to cover a bit more than others. I don't think I will stray from this foundation since I haven't found anything better. It is a bit pricey but given the circumstances (being my face) I think it is totally worth it.
fantastic highlights!
I have purchased the Hungry Heart Duo about two months ago and I absolutely love the highlight colors. There is a shimmer factor which is something I like. Who doesn't secretly want to be sparkly? I am not one for bronzer, but I can get a great contour effect using highlighters in conjunction with my blush. I love Nars formula for their make up because it always has a fantastic application.
bold but soft
Gaga is such a statement lip color in my opinion. It is a stand out pink but you can always tone it down by applying it lighter, or using a darker base or gloss. I personally like to enhance it with Benefit's Posietint underneath. I bought my back up because I use it so often I don't know what I will do when I run out.
best black liner
Blacker than UD 24/7 zero, and has a better application. Goes on very smooth and you can blend it out a bit before it sets. It's smudge resistant and it works great for my water and tight line. I am on my second pencil now so it has definitely become a staple in my every day make up.
everyday wear
You can definitely wear this every day. The colors are pretty toned down which is nice. I always like the quality of Too Faced shadows. The only things I do not quite get are why the three shadows (In the Buff, Birthday Suit & Pink Cheeks) are so large compared to the others. I mean they are nice colors and all, I just wish the other shadows were slightly larger and those were slightly smaller. The colors are not overly pigmented since this is for a naked looking eye but there is only 2 mattes which is In The Buff and Like a Virgin. If you are unsure I would go to a Sephora and swatch the colors first.
Huge shadows, HUGE color
I have the cold heart palette. I die. I do, I love how pigmented it is. The reviews are true! The packaging is LOVE but the product.... The product is really beyond what I could have ever wanted. The colors are SO pigmented (even without primers) and the colors are gorgeous. If you love color, you will indeed love these palettes. These are high quality shadows and they are so vibrant and are extremely blendable. The shadow pans are huge and definitely worth the money!
