Wanted to love it, but it was a bust
I have this pencil in Ahi, which I thought would be an awesome bright color but instead it isn't as pigmented as I had hoped (they didn't have testers just the sealed pencils). Maybe it is just the color that I had purchased and the others may have better color pay off but instead it is just sort of like a sheer hi-liter marker in eyeliner form. The one thing that it doubles for is a hair styling stick... which is about all I use it for. But it works for that perfectly... which is why it got an additional 1/2 star...
It's a love/hate thing.
I love my curler, and it loves me. I hate that I can't buy replacement pads! Mine came with an extra one, but if I want to get more I have to buy another curler?? What is the logic in that?! At least I haven't found a place to buy replacement pads online or otherwise. Now when my second pad is done and used (and I cry), I don't know if I will want to repurchase the curler, or try a new one. I am interested in the shiseido curler (especially since they sell replacement pads) but to be honest I don't really want to give up all hope on my Shu Uemura. As soon as I clamped my lashes into this fantastic device I knew it would never be the same from here on out! It is the best curler I used, regardless of the ridiculous price tag. It's specially shaped pad makes the perfect curl for me, it doesn't look kinked or bent, it looks CURLED.
Love the consistency!
I have tried two of the sample sizes of this primer and I have to say that I like this way more than the other primers I have tried. I have some slight scarring on my face so this actually helps with that as well. It isn't overly tinted and it helps make for smoother application of my foundation. I have oily skin, this product doesn't really help reduce oil throughout the day but I have settled that problem with the de matte setting spray from Urban Decay. I do intend to buy the product's full size tube but because of the price ($30) I usually whisk away to purchase something else instead which is my only negatives about the product really.
Subtle but does the trick.
These are great when you want a more elongated eye without looking super over the top. The lashes themselves are not too much longer than my natural lashes (granted, I have slightly longer lashes than the average) and with a colorful eye look these looked great. I used them on Halloween, honestly I thought it was going to be more dramatic than it was but it ended up being perfect for the look I was going for that day. If you want longer more dramatic lashed I would probably try some of the red cherry accent lashes since they are a bit longer and thicker.
So may shades of baby pink!
Ok, so I didn't think I would like this polish. It doesn't look very solid colored, it looks like it would be super sheer. I have to say I was surprised! Two coats and it was opaque. The only thing I don't get is why there are so many pinks. Why Essie? Why? I bought a baby pink I can't remember for the life of me what the name is right now, but it was cute. I am happy with the quality as well, it didn't chip very easily, stayed on for a good week and a half before I had to remove it. I'm going to try their other colors but so far it has been good.
Who doesn't have this set?!
This was one of my first brush purchases and it was a great investment. The bristles are soft and I love their angle tipped brush more than most of my others, it applies liner better for me. The roll is silly though so I don't use it, the thought was nice. Great starter brushes for anyone!
Best for the Price.
This is an every day mascara for me. It isn't too dramatic with the false look and I do like the bristles on this brush tremendously better than others. It separates and makes my lashes look curled and lovely and the formula isn't too thick so it doesn't clump! Which is great if you sweep your lashes toward the side for the doe eye effect (which I love). I will repurchase and I think I am going to buy the Drama one. This is already pretty black so I am anticipating good things for the blackest.
It's ok.
This isn't the best mascara I have ever used, but it sure isn't the worst. I guess I just expected more from the lash blast collections which everyone speaks so highly of. The black isn't that black and I love me some black mascara so I just get disappointed when it's more of a grey toned. The brush is nice but I think its the wrong brush for the formula. I think for me it just didn't live up to the hype.
Pigmented, amazing, love it.
I had gone to the urban decay counter at Macy's to try to find Surreal Skin Mineral Powder in Illusion which seems to be sold out everywhere... FOREVER. They didn't have it either so the guy working the counter (forget his name) told me to try the cream to powder, and he gave me a full face (guess he was bored or I was looking particularly horrific that day) and he used some of this on my cheeks (scratch) and it looks beautiful. I thought it was a blush at first, but it was a shadow. Mine has a sheen finish to it and the pigmentation is fabulous. I use this on my lids as well and it lasts for quite awhile. The packaging is way cute with the different pictures on the different shadows. It applies beautifully as most UD shadows do and there is a good amount of product for the price. I am looking into more colors to purchase, I just wish my wallet could keep up with me.
Smooth and even
The thing I dislike about a lot of matte shadows is that usually when I apply them they are not as even as I would like. This is not the case with Lorac's Baked Mattes! I haven't used this product wet yet, since I have it in white (Chic) but the pigmentation you get dry is still decent for the highlight. I haven't really used this up until recently since I usually use a satin high light but this has been great especially if i am looking for a bit of highlight on my face with no glitter or shimmer, it stays a light powder consistency and I have to say that I am truly impressed. I sort of brushed off Lorac in the past because I despised their lip glosses. That just goes to show that you can't judge a brand by one product!!
