I only have Estee Lauder makeup because my aunt and mom always gives me a set during occasions and I must say that my favorite in the set are always the lipsticks. I love how rich, creamy and smooth the lipsticks are and how they could coat even the ridges of my lips. I've tried a lot of lipsticks and I could not name a single other brand that could come as close to this. My favorite Estee Lauder lip color would be Rose Tea and for my perfect red lips would be Maraschino.
I love it!
This is a great palette when you're just starting out your makeup collection and you want a variety of colors in one palette. I've had this palette for more than a year now and my favorite are the warm, neutral shadows and the purples. You can go from neutral everyday looks to a fun and exciting makeup look the next with all these great colors! All shadows are very pigmented, soft and blendable.
This has been my powder for a long time and I love it. The thing about this L'Oreal powder is that there are so many shades to choose from that is really good so that it can match a girl's natural skin color. It gives coverage and it gives a matte finish to the face which is perfect because I don't like have oily skin.
I got the Pride Palette. For a cheap drug store product (only $3.99), it is definitely a good bargain. The shadows were highly pigmented and I was very happy with them except with one - the Shimmery White shadow. It is very sheer and all I get were the shimmers and the white color is gone. It is okay as an inner eye corner highlight but doing that a white liner should be a base so you get a brighter look. If you just want the shimmer then it’s okay. But even with the little disappointment I will still give this palette a two thumbs up. They have a soft, easy to blend texture and definitely worth the 4 bucks. :)
Urban Decay’s Primer Potion is truly an amazing product. I had it under my shadows and I was out for the whole day and the colors stayed on without creasing or disappearing. My mom even commented on how I look the moment I came home; it was as if I had just put my makeup. It did make the shadow colors appear more vibrant.
Conclusion: This is an amazing product that I recommend lovers of makeup to have. Eye makeup is my bias so this is an exciting addition to my growing makeup collection. This is definitely worth the investment.
I always moisturize my face with a moisturizer after washing it and before putting any makeup and I had tried using this product as it is - a moisturizer, and I tried to use it as a foundation. In other words I put the product after I used another moisturizer. I just set it with a loose powder.
Results:
Using it as a moisturizer works very well. It doesn’t leave the skin dry throughout the day and gives a light to medium coverage. I have some blemishes and what I did was just pat on some extra product on the area that needs it and it was okay. It is very lightweight and does not feel or look cakey like other tinted moisturizers or foundations do.
Using it after applying another moisturizer is a different story. Because of its moisturizing property, the two products together made my face oily in about 3 hours in the warm weather even after setting it with powder. The product still gave me a light coverage after blotting the oil with blotting paper. It’s not that bad but it was a good thing I have blotting papers with me.
Conclusion: I have dry to combination skin so I highly recommend this product to other girls out there who has the same skin type. It is also perfect for those who are not fond of using foundation or just want light coverage but doesn’t want to put too much makeup on. Or for those who find themselves under the sun for a while - it has SPF 20. For oily skin I suggest that you pick out a very good setting powder however I really don’t think this will make your face more oily if used alone (and not with another moisturizer - which I made a mistake of doing). Just keep a blotting paper in handy just in case.
When I picked this up at the drugstore I actually thought this was a re-purchase of the L’oreal Voluminous which I had before and loved, but I found out that what I had before was the Original one in black and not the Carbon Black.
I had loved the original one because it stayed true to its name, and game me really voluminous lashes that didn’t give me any difficulties in application to both upper and lower lashes. There is not much difference between the original and the carbon black except that the carbon black looks much darker (which I thought would not be possible) than the original black, and of course that this one is waterproof. When I had the original one before, it was non-waterproof, but it can absolutely stand through a bit of water, sweat and oil.
This is a definite hit for me. This is way better than the Falsies because it holds the curl much better. While the Falsies tends to clump up the lashes a bit, the Voluminous actually gives out a much neater appearance because it separates the lashes and doesn’t clump.
I would give this mascara 5 stars. This works perfectly for me. It is a drugstore mascara and because of that it is not that pricey, and if you’re lucky, you can save a few dollars off due to promos. It gives me the length and volume I want and it’s waterproof and of course, lived up to the reviews of most who tried it.
I have thin and short lashes that are pretty much non-existent without mascara. This does give a thicker look to the lashes but not all that dramatic and it is also buildable because of the wet formula it has and is in a black color. It gives a bit of length and it does a pretty good job at making my lashes more noticeable. However, this mascara is not a waterproof one so that’s a no for me. I like my mascaras waterproof because I tend to rub my eyes and I also use contact lenses and I sometimes need to hydrate my eyes with solution so I don’t want my mascara to run all over my face. Also, my lashes naturally just points straight forward and waterproof mascaras hold curls better than the non-waterproof ones.
I would give this mascara a 3 out of 5 stars, just because it’s not waterproof and cheap and I think there are more comparable drugstore mascaras out there than this.
I personally love Maybelline products. Many people said that this mascara doesn’t work that great and only a few like it. This works pretty well for me.
I got it in the color Very Black and in a waterproof formula. The wand is like the Maybelline Magnum Volum’ Express, which is spoon shaped (curved) with an almost flat top and the wand is flexible too. Because of its wand shape, it doesn’t make a mess whenever I apply it to both upper and lower lashes
It also has a wet formula that is buildable and just one coat gives me excellent volume and length. It doesn’t really look like false lashes when you’re done with it, but for me, it does an amazing job of giving me the volume and length that I want.
One miss about this mascara is it does clump the lashes a bit but I learned that the technique to it is not to wiggle the wand while going through the lashes and slowly build the product up.
I would give this a 4 out of 5 stars.
