Beauty Product Reviews
Instant Glow!
It does an incredible job brightening up the face instantly. I use it primarily under the eyes and blend it with a damp Beauty Blender and it creates a wonderful glow! Will be repurchasing over and over again! :)
Great product but pricey!
If I were to choose one item of make up that I would need being stranded on a remote island, an eyeliner would be it. For years the only make up style I knew was playing up the eyes. So when I heard about this liner, I knew I had to see what the hype was about.
The packaging is great, it looks like a sleek, classy pen. The tip of the liner is fine enough to create the perfect wing/ cat eye look and easy enough to maneuver over the eyelid. The liner itself is a true black without drying shiny and stays put the whole day. A great option for those with oily lids yet smooth enough to give a precise finish for dry lids.
All in all, I loved the product. The only downfall is that it is quite pricey. To make the most out of it I use it exclusively for a precise finish of the wing while using Loreal's Superliner for the rest of the lid. Worth a try regardless, plus a beautiful addition to your make up collection! :)
Gorgeous!
Let me first say that I'm not at all a big fan of dark colours. I tend to gravitate to nudes and corals, nothing that will grab attention as I love to play up my eyes. But the moment I saw this shade in the Divine Night collection, I knew I had to have it. It's a gorgeous plum-berry shade that gives an amazing sophisticated look! Love love love! :)
More love to UD!
I have both the original Naked and Naked 2 palettes but they ain't got nothing on the Vice 2. I LOVE this palette! The colour variety is amazing! I use it all the time for day looks and night looks as well. Top notch eyeshadow quality, which really isn't surprising for Urban Decay. They are so pigmented and blendable! Such a great addition to a make up collection. :)
HG Stuff
I was using the Make Up Forever HD concealer at first when I realized that the product was too expensive for the amount of use I got from it. So I decided to make the switch to this concealer and have loved it since! It is more expensive mind you, but lasts wayyyyyyyy longer. It has a thick consistency with amazing pigmentation. I use it mainly for the undereye area, you only really need a tiny amount otherwise it will appear cakey. All in all I love it, isn't drying and very long lasting. This is my concealer to beat. :)
Maybe Not For Warmer Skin Tones
First of all let me say that there is no disputing the quality of these shadows - they are creamy, almost butter like and go on like a dream. So no issues there. The only thing is that the colours don't show up as well as I would have liked on my skin tone. I have olive/ tanned skin and have to build up the product a lot before the colours show up even after using it with my MAC Paint Pot as a base. Looking back I probably should have gone with the original Naked palette (will be getting that soon now!) A great palette anyhows for people who prefer silvery shades and have cooler undertones. I honestly get more use out of my LORAC Pro Palette.
HG Shampoo
I was hooked on Redken products I very first time I started using it. And although over the years I've tried shampoos from various different brands, I've always come back to this product. It thoroughly cleanses my hair leaving no residue on the scalp and keeps it well hydrated. I use this along with their conditioner as well as the All Soft Heavy Cream (mask) and they work incredibly well for my dry, coarse hair. (I have been chemically treating my hair for more than 10 years now)
I adore this line of products, so this could be a partially biased review, lol. But I do recommend trying it out to see if it fits your hair needs. My hair stylist is a huge advocate for this line of products and over the years I've seen why and have become a believer too. :)
Love It!
I have colored and rebonded hair and have been chemically treating it for about 10 years now, so you can imagine the state that it's in. I deal with a lot of split ends and dryness so I have no choice but to treat it with hair masks and serums regularly. I love Kerastase products, have been using them for many years so when I ran out of my usual hair serum I was advised to try out this product. I loved how it improved the texture of my hair, leaving it healthy and shiny. It is slightly thicker in consistency compared to my regular hair serum but works well as a little product goes a long way. ( This product lasted me slightly more than a year even with regular use - usually apply it on damp hair every alternate day)
I'm not a big fan of the scent though ( has a very generic oil smell, if that makes sense) but am willing to put up with it for the results it brings. It's quite pricy but I would say it's a good investment for your hair. If you have dry and damaged hair and are willing to splurge a little, then this is recommended for you. :)
Couldn't Use This.
I started using my Clarisonic Mia 2 with the Sensitive brush it came with and as advised by the beauty assistant at Sephora I used it for a good three months before switching to the Normal brush.I use it twice a day with my Estee Lauder foaming cleanser.
Unfortunately I found the normal brush to be a bit too harsh on my skin and for some reason enlarged the pores. I also began developing acne on my cheeks as well. Maybe it was due to the frequency of use and harshness of the bristles, I'm not sure, but when I went back to the Sensitive brush, everything cleared up.
I wouldn't recommend this for sensitive skin as not all skin types can take this brush well. It's a good thing they have a range of brushes to suit your skin needs. Regardless, I still love my Clarisonic. :)
Great Product But Very Pricy!
This was the first high end concealer that I invested in and I have no complains about the product. Love the flexible applicator tip that fits snugly beneath the undereye area. The consistency is creamy and highly pigmented, was very easy to blend using a brush or fingers. It does not end up cakey and I didn't really find problems with creasing although I have plenty of fine lines beneath my eyes. My only con is that it's wayyyyyy too pricy for the amount of product it contains. It has only 1.5ml (0.05 fl oz) of product which obviously lasts only a few months ( 3 months in my case, as I don't use it much on a daily basis). When it ran out I was tempted to get it again but couldn't justify spending that much on so little product so ended up getting the Make Up Forever Full Coverage concealer instead.
If it wasn't for the steep price I'd definitely give it a full five stars.
