Beauty Product Reviews
Soft
Pros: Super Soft Dense Inexpensive Synthetic Bristles
Cons: When shipped from company, it might lay funny so you might get some dents at the top of the brush which sucks. I hope that e.l.f finds a way to ship their brushes with brush guards.
When I received the brush in the mail, I was completely blown away at how soft it was. Yes some of the bristles were bent but that went away after the first deep wash. For something that is under $5 you can't go wrong. E.l.f usually always has coupon codes for their products. (i got it when the entire site was 50% off.)
Sculpt and Highlight.
I love using the L'oreal True Match foundation to sculpt and highlight. I like that it blends easily and there are lots of shades to choose from as well as the 3 different undertones. (Warm, Neutral, Cool) Another reason why I love it so much is because I only usually have to pay around $4 - $7 for the foundations and at places like target, walgreens, and CVS/Rite-Aid you always find a Bogo50.
One of the downfalls to this foundation is the lack of pump. It becomes a bother to have to try and pour foundation on the back of my hand without getting too much or too little.
My recommendation is to try it out for yourself.
Great for all.
I was given this product by a friend at the beginning of the year. I think I only wanted it because it seemed so hyped and I wanted to follow the trend of having the MUFE HD Powder. I will say after months and months of using it on myself, friends, and clients...it's Uhhmaaayyyzing. I love how fine the powder is. Personally I like using it with a dense brush and going over the entire face or around the "T-Zone". I also like using it with a duo fibre brush under the eyes.
Be careful tapping product into the cap. I had the sifter come off and had product all over my hand, floor, and desk.
They are a bargain.
The L'Oreal HIP eyeshadow duos are a great bargain. They have an excellent array of colors and finishes. If you can't afford expensive shadows, the duos are an excellent fall back.
I do recommend using a primer and well as a base to help the shadows stick to something. With some shadows you can get some fall out but that only happens when you apply the shadow without making sure you haven't put too much product on the brush. I love their shimmery finish shadows because they seem to be the most pigmented and are easily blendable.
Staple item
Invest in a good set of tweezers. I love these tweezers because they get the job done. I hate plucking my brows because it used to hurt and now these tweezers grab the hair and grip it well. I also love that tweezerman will sharpen the tweezers for life.
Worth the price, trust me.
Quite Impressed
I was in the market for a shadow stick that I could use as a base over shadow. I have used different shadow sticks as well as grease sticks from different companies so I was kind of skeptical about the products because they were only 3 dollars.
I am super impressed with the shadow stick of the product. It's nicely pigmented, blends nicely, and lasts long. I am sure if you have dry lids you won't have a problem with creasing on their own, but if you have oily lids then throw on a primer before. The eyeliner part of the duo isn't my favorite, but if it does word and it is pigmented. My only problem with the product is the packaging. I got a shadow stick that had a faulty cap on the eyeliner side and it does get quite annoying.
I am hoping that e.l.f expands the line and gives us different colors to choose from. This is definitely a keeper.
It's only 3 Dollars
The e.l.f duo is such a great product for only $3 dollars. The blusher is more of a mix of pink with lots of gold flex which looks nice on the cheeks. The bronzer is extremely pigmented so be careful using it.
My only recommendation for this product is test out different brushes for application. I find using an angled brush for the bronzer gives me too much color. And using a normal blush brush for the blusher doesn't give me the color pay off I want.
Needs to be in everyones train case.
I was first introduce to Beauty So Clean at an event that I went to in San Diego. I was given a free sample of the spray and tons of wipes. I love the spray because you can sanitize everything from your shadows to lipsticks to liners. I love the Beauty So Clean wipes to wipe off my lip brushes between clients.
Beauty So Clean has an amazing product out in the market and I think tons of you will love it!
Minty
This mask really lives up to standards in my opinion. I love the way my skin feels after using the mask. Anyone suffering with large pores, blackheads, or pimples should give this product a try. I like to use it once a week to really refresh my skin and make it feel good.
Since I have oily skin I feel it does control my t-zone area. It's kind of gross seeing it when it dries because you can SEE my pores. When I remove it I like to use a facial exfoliating pad just to give my skin an extra kick and to really help remove any dead skin and blackheads from my nose.
Worth $3
Makeup wipes are essentials in anyones makeup collection whether you are a professional or novice. For only 3 dollars you get a package of 20 and they do the job amazingly. I have tried different brand wipes from MAC to Kirkland to Sephora. These are easily accessible and affordable. Now i never really thought it would burn, like Amanda R. said, but I do think that if you have sensitive skin use something a little less abrasive. These do come soaked and do remove product well. If you feel they are cheap...you only spent 3 bucks on them. Personally, I have repurchased these wipe about 20+ times.
For the price you pay, it's well worth it.
