Beauty Product Reviews
Meh
I bought Ocean Breeze, not realizing it was scented. While painting my nails, I was strongly reminded of the air freshener from public toilets. The formula was sheer, I had to use four coats to achieve the opacity seen in the bottle and it had brush marks. (probably because it was a frost) I seriously doubt that I'll ever be buying a scented nail polish again because of the smell emanating from my bottle.

Mildly disappointing. I was so excited when this product first came out and it worked great for the first two couple of weeks. However, after that it became really clumpy on the brush itself and it was a chore to work with. I love the effect it gives but applying it is a major bleh in my opinion.
#1 Lip balm
I used to hate using lip balms because they would coat my lips instead of moisturizing it. I picked out the Lemon and Chamomile flavor after hearing rave reviews all over and I can say I'm not disappointed at all. The smell is heavenly and beckons you to lick your lips (Though I'd recommend you not to do so), the ingredients actively moisturize your lips inside out leaving it feeling soft and supple. Though it seems pricey for a small tube, you don't have to reapply it often so I guess it's worth it. I'm going to stock up on the other flavors as soon as I can get my hands on them!
Alchemy
Precision Ink is aptly name. The thin tip of the wand outlines my eyes perfectly creating a gorgeous smoky golden look. I was surprised on how long it lasted. Hoping that Illamasqua would be available in Singapore soon so that it'll be easier for me to purchase their products. This is my first Illamasqua product and I hope it's not the last <3
Gorgeous and unique finish
I tried using OPI's Nail Envy Matte Coat, and it was terrible partly due to the fact that it's supposed to be a base coat. I was reading some nail blogs and most of them recommended Essie's Matte About You.A comparison with OPI suggests that it 'mattifies' the nail color more and leaves a smooth finish.
This was recommended to me by a make up artist after I started complaining about how mascaras clump easily on my short Asian lashes. So far, I have no complaints, everything has been amazing. It lasts for so long, and it extends my lashes to nearly twice the length! No clumping and it definitely did not give me the horrible raccoon eyes. I would buy this again despite it being slightly pricey.
Best top coat by far
I've tried a number of different brands but when it comes to top coats, Seche Vite is the best in terms of it's shine, fast drying time and durability. After applying this, it makes my nails feel and look like glass. A couple of bad points to note is the shrinkage, especially on Zoya nail polishes and the thickening of the polish after a certain time. But all in all, I'd continue buying the product. <3
