Lips Like Butter
After such a successful go with the L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse line, I wanted to try another brand. I had seen so many people rave about the Revlon Lip Butters, and everything Holly Ann-Aeree has ever suggested has always been amazing, so I took her word for it and got this one. It is a very bright pink, the brightest pink they have on display, and most people probably would've avoided it, but I love pink glosses, so I took a risk. I'm so glad I did. This formula is also really moisturizing and has great staying power as well. The color is not as bright as you would think. I have very pigmented lips naturally, and this adds a nice pop of color, without being too pink. This color may not be for everyone, but over my lips, it looks fabulous. I love both of these lipsticks so much!!!
Shiny Shiny and more Shine
I love this spray! I really like the scent, the shine it provides, and the protection. I use it everyday. I see a lot of people complaining about the nozzle. I must have been lucky, because mine sprays exactly like the Tresemme bottle. I have never had a problem, and I prefer this over Tresemme as it provides amazing shine!
Creamy and Delicious... and Peachy
I've mentioned this before, but I'll say it again, I've never been a lipstick fan... until now! Before I bought this, I only owned 3, and 2 of them I didn't even buy or pick out. And the 3rd, I only wore when I went out to socialize (i.e. drinks, dinner, dancing). I got asked a few times what my fav lipstick was and couldn't really provide an answer. Then I saw itsjudytime wearing this lipstick and thought, I should try it, it looks amazing! Long story short, it IS amazing! It goes on creamy, very moisturizing, long-wear, and the perfect nude color! It even has a light peachy smell. It matches my natural lips pretty darn closely and really enhances them. AMAZING!
Medium Coverage, Smooth Finish
I really like Bare Minerals. They have such a huge array of shades! I am Filipino, with combination skin. I get very oily in spots and very very dry patchy spots, so I truly have combination skin and this was a great balance. Since this is matte, it helped hide the shine I would get from my oily skin, but it wasn't drying like some other powders, which was nice for my patchy dry spots.
Great for the SPF... if you're ok with the smell and consistency
I like it because it has SPF, but really, that's the only thing I like about it.
I'm glad it lasted a while, because I really wanted to see how it was under my makeup over time and so far, so good. It sits well under my makeup, it doesn't dry me out or make me oily and I have yet to see it breaks me out, so it's definitely a great alternative to regular moisturizer.
Now, for the reasons why I'm not sold... I have had Clinique moisturizers with SPF in them and they worked wonderful, and never had a sunscreen scent. This, however, smells like I'm rubbing Banana Boat or Coppertone onto my face, but without all the oil or stickiness. YUCK!
The second reason... it truly is goop. It has a goopy texture. Almost like a hot melted sunscreen that you left if your car. You know when you have a fresh hot pizza with fresh mozzerella and the cheese is stringy when you grab a slice?! I know you're wondering, what does pizza have to do with face moisturizer... well... when I squeezed the product out of the foil packet, it was stringy, like fresh baked mozzerella cheese and was getting all over the place. Not only that, but it doesn't spread well. Where you place it is where it will be. so I had to place multiple little dots all over the place. I couldn't just put one dot per cheek and rub it around, because it wouldn't spread and I ended up having a ton on the center on my cheek, but none at the edge of my face/hairline. SAD FACE!
However, the concept of it seemed ok. It looks like it's more affordable than Clinique, but I think you'll have a better chance with Neutrogena face sunscreen. The only down side to Neutrogena is that I feel like I need to wear an additional, regular moisturizer with it, as it's not very moisturizing. This, however, you can wear alone without additional moisturizer. Either way, there are more options, and this one is not one of mine.
My New Fav!
This is my current favorite liquid liner. The felt tip is stiff enough for precision, but soft enough to swipe along the curve of your eye lid. This pen creates beautiful lines and goes on one smooth stroke. You can make the thinest to the thickest lines so easily on this.
I love the pigmentation and its staying power! I put it on in the morning and it stays on all day long, with no smudging or fading.
The tip on the Eyeko is stiffer than the Stila tip, but even then, I feel like I can get more product on in one swipe with the Stila, while I have to go back over a few times with the Eyeko to get my desired line. If you look at the picture above, you can see the difference in tips. You can also see that the Stila liner is much darker and fills in much better than the Eyeko.
Either way, I'm loving it and using it everyday (to conserve my Stila for days when I need waterproof liner).
Highly recommend.
