Works miracles

Pros: Prevents creasing, keeps shadow from fading, grabs pigment for amazing colour payoff, and generally does whatever it's supposed to. Cons: None. Maybe a bit pricey for the size, but you only need a tiny bit each time.

This is one product that really lives up to its reputation. I have oily eyelids that repel eyeshadow. Without this primer, my eyeshadows usually crease and fade within 2-3 hours. With it, my make up easily lasts through the night and into the next day. This primer extends the life your makeup almost to infinity.

Another great characteristic of this primer is that it intensifies the colour of any eyeshadow. If you have any annoyingly sheer shadows in your collection, try using this underneath and you may be surprised at how much difference it can make.

Also, I guess as I have oily lids, I don't find that it's drying on my lids at all, even with daily usage. If you also have oily lids, you really do need this. It's the best primer I have ever used.

Great budget lipstick

Pros: Cheap, good coverage Cons: No staying power

For the price, this lipstick really can't be beat.

The texture of the lipstick is great, it glides on smoothly but not thickly. It doesn't dry out your lips at all. It's also reasonably pigmented. You only need one swipe for satisfactory coverage, but you can go over your lips again for full opacity.

However, it doesn't stick to my lips at all. It doesn't really feather, but it does come right off onto whatever my lips touch. I haven't tried this with a lip primer though, it should work much better over a good primer. Still, I prefer NYX's pricier (but still very affordable) matte lipsticks, or black label lipsticks to this range.

Doesn't live up to the hype

Pros: Tin is really cute. Smells great. Cons: Doesn't work...?

This "creme" isn't a cream at all. It's more like a very waxy balm. To moisturise your cuticles with this, you have to really dig into the tin for sufficient product, and massage it well into your cuticles for a good five minutes or so. It also doesn't get absorbed easily, but stays oily on your hands until it gets rubbed off. It works as a quick fix for dry cuticles in low-humidity environments like airplanes and air-conditioned rooms, but doesn't keep my cuticles from peeling in the long run.

Great balm to keep in your purse

Although my lips are pretty pigmented, this balm leaves a slightly distinguishable hint of colour on my lips. Don't expect anything too noticeable though. It's like a my-lips-but-better effect. Great for days when you're not wearing any/much make up but still want your lips to look rosy and healthy. I like to use this over a lip stain for a natural rosy look.

It's satisfactorily moisturising upon application, but it hasn't kept my lips from chapping when used as my primary lip balm. Then again, I do have dry lips prone to chapping.

Works on the surface, but...

I bought this because every one seems to love it and can't stop raving about it. I have dry lips that tend to chap if I don't use a good lip balm on them at least twice a day. However, although this balm feels really soothing on application, it doesn't keep my lips from chapping in the long run. After switching to this, my lips chapped after about a week.

For those who don't get chapped lips, I suppose this would work as a decent lipstick base, to keep the lipstick from drying out your lips. The texture is kind of waxy, not oily at all. It doesn't glide on easily, and I find that I have to go over my lips a few times to get complete coverage. It doesn't absorb easily either, but just stays on your lips after application.

Although I suspect I might have gotten a dud because I seem to be the only one that this product is not working for... :(

Good but not great

I expected to find more use out of this palette than I did. The shadows in this are really not very pigmented. If you're going for more of a natural day-to-day look, these do give satisfactory pigmentation. However, if you're looking to do a more dramatic look with the brighter and lighter colours in this palette, you might find that the pigmentation isn't very satisfactory.

Applying them dry gives you moderately sheer coverage. I've tried applying them wet, but it doesn't help the pigmentation very much either. The only way to get higher pigmentation is to pat the shadows thickly over a primer.

On the plus side, there are 88 colours, and they're very blendable. All in all I'd say this is a good basic palette just because of the sheer variety of colours and the affordable price.

Even better over a primer

I own about 10 shades of this! These are amazingly pigmented, and work great as a base colour to make your eyeshadow really pop.

However, I have oily lids, and have found that I need to apply these over a primer, and under a shadow for them to stay put and not crease. Without a primer to provide more hold, and/or a shadow to set it, these will crease on my lids within 3 hours. But used together with the right products, they last forever! Just make sure not to smush too much on.

Great blendability, great pigmentation, great variety, great price. Love love love!!
