Saved My Skin!
A few months ago, I was dealing with extremely dry, sensitive skin. I had rough patches on my forehead & all around my jaw, and any drop of moisture that touched my skin would cause a stinging sensation. This moisturizer really helped calm all the irritation down and the very first time I used it, I felt immediate relief and my skin felt instantly moisturized. Within 3 days, the rough patches and sensitivity diminished considerably. On top of that, the product smells absolutely lovely! My skin is no longer sensitive, but I'll definitely keep this product on hand, just in case.
Great Quality, Great Selection!
We all know MAC has amazing eyeshadows, but I'm here to talk about my personal favourite: Satin Taupe. Not only is it absolutely gorgeous (taupe with silver shimmer, according to the MAC website), but it applies and blends like a dream. My current favourite way to sport it is by applying it along my lower lash line. It's dark enough to add soft definition and makes for a great natural look.
My Favourite Ecotools Brush
Don't get me wrong, all of their brushes are pretty phenomenal; but this one, I adore because it's so versatile. Like others have mentioned, it's fantastic for brows. It's dense and firm enough that you can apply with a strong hand, but the bristles are so soft that it doesn't cause any discomfort at all. Amongst my 3 eyeliner brushes, this one definitely deserves to be on top. It's so easy applying a strong, precise line and it's also easy to feather the product out to create a smokier effect.
Fantastic quality, eco friendly, and inexpensive? You DEFINITELY need this brush in your life!
My HG Liquid Foundation
I'm often left disappointed and discouraged when shopping for liquid foundation, but that all changed when I purchased this product. The shade was an exact colour match to my skin tone (very hard for me to do because of my pale skin/yellow undertone combo), it smells wonderful, it blends beautifully, and makes my skin look smooth, fresh, even, and most importantly, natural.
I highly recommend this foundation if you have dry skin like me. But if you have normal or oily skin, try the pro lumiere or mat lumiere.
Great Price, Great Quality!
If you're looking for a great lipstick that has amazing pigmentation, a decent shade selection, and all for a drugstore price, then look no further than Revlon Colorburst.
I purchased Fuchsia, Lilac & True Red and I couldn't be happier. The packaging has a cute quilting design on the outside and an accurate shade of the lipstick can be found on top of the tube. It feels creamy when applied and although it's not the most moisturizing lipstick, it's not drying either. I get around 4 hours of wear without eating or drinking, which might pose a problem for others, but not for me.
All in all, this is a fantastic product and so worth the money. Will I repurchase? ABSOLUTELY!
this is the first and only primer i've ever used so keep this in mind when reading the review:
it blends easily and makes your skin feel silky smooth. it does a great job of keeping face makeup on and i find my foundation looks much more even and gives me more coverage when i apply this primer first. it doesn't break me out like it has for others, which i'm grateful for. however, what it does for the rest of my skin, it doesn't do for my under eye area.
it's definitely not a miracle-worker or a life-changer, but for the price? it's pretty damn good.
I'm not one to throw around the term "HG" lightly, but this is definitely HG material! My skin misbehaved like nobody's business a few months ago and this was the only foundation that would cover up my massive breakout and dry, rough patches. It feels AMAZING on the skin! Don't let the word "powder" dissuade you you from trying it out; this foundation feels creamy once applied. This is definitely one of THE BEST purchases I've made this year.
This feels amazing on the skin, it colour-matches my skin tone perfectly, and it doesn't make me break out. However, when my skin took a turn for the worse (massive breakout + dry, rough patches all over my face), this product did NOTHING for me. I was incredibly disappointed, since I was my HG foundation for many years. But now that my skin has gone back to normal, it's suiting me perfectly again.
It pains me a little to give it such a low rating, but there's something about Philosophy skincare products that don't agree with my skin. Although Purity Made Simple is a FANTASTIC cleanser (it removed all my makeup in ONE cleanse), it gave me an allergic reaction. A few days after using this cleanser, I started developing dry, rough patches all over my jawline. My skin also became so sensitive, it would burn whenever any type of moisture came into contact with it. However, I know this cleanser works beautifully for a lot of people. So if you're interested, I would suggest trying a sample first.
