Smooth as butter

I don't normally wear eyeliner much because my eyes tend to water, but our in-house MUA recommended that I try Charlotte's Classic pencils, which has a powdery formulation (as opposed to a liquid formulation). She suggested that it would be a good one to try with my watery eyes. It glides on beautifully (I find stiff eyeliner pencils are unbearable) and has held up well! The ease with which it goes on helps it look great, since you can really work it around while its still moveable. I might become an eyeliner convert!

So glowy!

This palette is so beautiful and glowy! I have been tired and my skin has been lifeless, but when I put this on for the first time, I looked like I had been outside on vacation for a week.

I wasn't sure if the color would be too orange for the bronzer (especially to use for contour, as Charlotte recommends) but it was perfect and blended really flawlessly. It's great as a contour shade or as a bronzer. And even though it looks like it has a lot of shimmer in the palette, when it goes onto the skin, it gives a subtle glow effect. It's very elegant (both the makeup formulation and the packaging) and I can imagine would look great on everybody.

Gentle way to clean the face

The Gommage Spa Gel is a beautiful, gentle way to clean the face. It goes on very light, which feels great and means that its gentle on the skin. I let it sit on my face for about a minute and then begin to gently massage it in circles. As I make circular motions, the gel starts to gum up and little peelies start to happen. I then use a wash cloth and warm water to gently remove them.

Afterwards, my face feels fresh and clean without any harsh scrubbing or abrasive bits. Koh Gen Do has quickly become my favorite skincare brand!

Great in the morning!

I love to use the Spa Water in the morning to wake up my skin and prepare it for the day. I'll use the Koh Gen Do cotton or soak a cloth in it (the EVE LOM cloth works great) and then just lay it over my face for a few moments. I then move it to a new position and let it settle there for a few moments, pressing it gently into the curves of the face (never rubbing). It feels refreshing, helps wake me up, and makes my face feel alive. Its also a great prep for makeup.

Beautiful foundation!

This is a beautiful foundation! When applied properly, it gives the skin the most gorgeous, moisturized feeling. It's like you're not wearing anything at all.

It's important to apply it with the fingers or with a stippling brush, as opposed to swiping it on with a brush or swooshing it around in circles. I found that fingers work best.

The other thing to note is that it shouldn't be used over a silicon-based primer. I prefer to moisturize first and then apply it (skipping a primer). When used over silicon, it can separate and go on unevenly. This gave me pause because my SPF is in my primer, but I used a facial sunscreen underneath instead and then applied the foundation over top. That worked perfectly.

My favorite part about how the Aqua Foudnation wears over the course of the day is that it doesn't settle into the pores or accentuate them. It just looks like you have beautifully moisturized skin that has an amazingly even tone to it.

The contouring gateway product!

The Kevyn Aucoin Medium is the product that gave me the confidence to contour! I was dabbling in contour with bronzers and other things but felt awkward about the shade being correct, so I was very timid. This product made me feel confident enough to be bold. Plus, I started to contour my eyes with it and figured out a whole new way to wear eyeshadow! Because I was thinking "contouring" and not "eyeshadow" I used it to follow the brow bone to the nose and found that I could expand the work area around my eyes. It's improved my makeup game tremendously. And it makes it easy to travel because the one product works on both face and eye.

Great!

This is a great lip treatment! It feels luxurious when you put it on and has a pleasant, slightly tingling minty quality to it. My lips look noticeably more supple with it and feel great wearing it. I usually only put on lip treatments at night after removing my makeup, but with this I've been treating my lips more regularly throughout the day.

Great for contouring!

I know... you shouldn't use stuff with shimmer to contour... but I love using this for doing just that! The shimmer is really subtle, and I finish my face off with a light shimmer anyway so it all mixes together. I like that it has a gradation of color, which makes contouring easy, because you can pick from a variety of shades. It also has a great finish and glides on really smooth. The color is perfect for my skin tone, and there is a range so everyone could find the right thing for them. I have tons of products, but this one is something I use every day.

Super cute mirror!

I love this mirror! It's so pretty and super useful. I carry it everywhere in my wallet and use it to touch up my lipstick. I enjoy using it so much that I find it easier to remember to do touchups. If I'm in public, I don't feel rude about pulling it out and putting on lipstick. It has a regular mirror on one side, and a zoom-in mirror on the other, plus you can swivel it open and it will stand on its own. Very handy if you need to set it up to do makeup in a pinch.

Great formula, great color

I really like the ILIA lipstick crayons. They have a great creamy texture and a soft scent that is really nice. Karma Chameleon is a great color, not too pink, not too orange. I wear it constantly. It feels great on the lips and is long-lasting. There's something fun about the crayon shape as well! I didn't think that would make a difference for me but somehow it does. I find that I'm really happy every time I use it.
