Beauty Product Reviews
My first BB Cream! I love it! I bought it in light/medium.
Since summer was coming I decided to try out a BB cream. I picked up the Garnier BB Cream. My first impression of this products was immediately after I put it on it brightened my face and under eyes a lot. I have a few dark marks from acne on my cheeks close to my hairline and those were brightened as well.
After experimenting with it I found that I could use it as a primer/brightener under my Bare Minerals foundation. I use this combo everyday and it last all day long until I wash it off.
Its a good primer but irritated my skin and the smell was overwhelming for me.
I picked this up awhile ago and felt like I would really like this product. I liked it for the first bit of the time I used it then I started to see problems with it. What first attracted me to it was the fact that it had a salmon coloring, which helps with the blue and purples I have under my eyes. It had a nice smell that I enjoyed at first but in the end the fragrance was what made me stop using it. The fragrance really irritated my skin. My skin is not sensitive what so ever so it really took me by surprise. Now as for the primer in general it did help my foundation stay on a bit longer but nothing that would make me keep using it. If your skin is not sensitive to fragrances I think it would work okay for the price.
Not a great match with Oily/Combo skin.
I started off with this when I was young and when my skin wasn't as oily as it is now. I loved it! I started to the Matte formula last year and recently got the Original formula for xmas and I must say I prefer the Matte formula. It is a few bucks more but it is worth it if you have oily skin. The Original formula now gives me an unwanted sheen. I plan on finishing out the rest of the Original and buy Matte and stick with it.
I use this just about everyday!
I picked this up at Target a few weeks ago because it was extremely cheap and wanted a new lightweight foundation for everyday use. The first day I used it I used I didn’t use a primer and my face looked flawless and at the end of the day the foundation stayed on pretty well. The next day I used a primer and the foundation lasted longer. It’s easy to blend, I prefer using my fingers with this foundation. I currently mix a bit of this with my daily moisturizer and set it with Bare Minerals foundation. The cool the thing about the packaging is that the bottle doesn’t have a pump but it does have a spatula attached to the top. It makes it easy to scoop out the right amount of product.
I love this eyeliner so much. The only liquid liner I will use is the Tattoo Liner and the Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid liner.
I first heard of the Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner from a friend of mine who said it was a really great product. I saw the results that it gave and how long it lasted with her and I decided while I was on a trip to NYC I would go to Sephora and pick up one for myself. I was terrified to use liquid eyeliner, but this casted away all my fears.
The tip allows you to apply a great clean line and brings your cat eye wing to the perfect point. I bought my eyeliner in “Trooper” which is an ink black. The staying power is amazing, when they say waterproof they mean it. I could shower with this and it wouldn’t budge. It also dries very quickly so you can blink pretty much immediately have you apply. The packaging is very sleek and efficient.
It comes in 5 different colors: Biker (dark grey/smoke), Lapdance (plum), Maya (deep brown), Skater (deep blue) and Trooper (ink black)
I use this product every single day. It works well to keep my eyeshadows and under eye concealer in place.
Benefit Stay Don’t Stray Primer
“This dual-action power primer works 360° degrees around the eyes to make concealers AND eyeshadows STAY PUT. Concealers don’t crease, eyeshadows stay vibrant and true…you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it!” -Benefit
I received a sample size of this product about a month ago and I wasn’t very sure about it, but now I have to use it everyday because I feel it really works. On a daily basis I would use Rimmel Fix & Perfect primer under my eyes and Urban Decay Primer Potion on my eyelids. This does the combination of both primers in one. Its a great consistency and it actually covers discoloration on your eyelids and under eyes on it’s own. So if you were in a rush you could just put this on with face powder and go! It also has age fighting vitamins C & E and is paraben-free. The packaging is an airless pump and a very sleek and simple bottle design. The sample size is a wand applicator which is great for your makeup bag in your purse.
