Hey lady! Question for you. How are you able to put the music in your videos without being flagged for copyright? I saw you have the available on iTunes thing underneath your vids on the description bar, but I don't know how to do that ): Is that why?

Most of my videos I've been sent a notice saying I have copyright issues but do not need to do anything about it--however, the only video that yt ever said they would mute the music to was one that I used a straight up song on. Most of my music are dj mixes or royalty free music I got from this website (which I'll message you with later). Most of the time, yt will credit the artist with the iTunes thing and that's usually enough or yt will make your video unavailable in certain countries depending on that country's laws.

Ohhh I see. I got scared the first time I used a song in my video, they sent me a notice and I was like OMGNEVERAGAIN I'LL BE GOOD I SWEAR!! I've just been using small parts of songs for like intros and stuff cause using like a ten second clip isn't illegal. Good to know! (:

I mean---I don't know exactly the specific guidelines but usually they send an email saying that this song has rights but you do not need to take any actions, etc. So I never bothered to remove them.

There's also royalty free music on this site: http://freemusicarchive.org/
Another beautylisher suggested it and it's really great for background stuff--a lot of it is really....weird....but there are some gems in there!

I would die if YT decided to suspend my channel because of music aaahhh!!

Yeah, that's what I got. I didn't remove mine either and nothing happened, they didn't credit the artist or anything. Whatevs.

I'm checking out the site now, every song I've clicked on has been ridiculous! It's no wonder some of these are free! =P

Omg that would suck so hard!! That's why I've been tiptoeing the line, I don't want all those hours of uploading to go to waste!

For real! HOURS-----guh! It took an hour and a half to upload the little 9 minute video last night. Depressing!

Isn't that site cray cray? Some of the music on there is just downright--scary! Good luck on your search. I looked for things I saw myself doing tutorials with---I channeled ethereal fairy haha

Omg, only an hour and a half? I WISH... A shorter video like that would take me at LEAST two to three hours... my galaxy nail video took something like eight hours. I'm assuming it's because of the quality and length together or something, but it sucks.

lol everything I'm finding is just like stereophonic electric sounds.Some of them are effed in the eh. Some of them are actually kinda neat.

Find any gems?? Your uploads are going to take a WEEK now if you put music on! Do you think it's YT that is crappy? I think it is so outrageous that videos have to take that long to go live. I mean, for reals. This chick has got things to do!

Omg I had a love affair with Cocorosie's music for like a solid month, these beardy ladies are fascinating.

I clicked on random things and I found some okay stuff, but nothing I'd use in my videos... I've got the tab open still though, playing around when I'm bored =P And PREACH, honey. I can't stop my life for eight hours once or twice a week to upload, let alone recording and editing. I usually fill the time by eating, folding laundry and watching movies. Multitasking is key, my friend.
