Really works.
I've tried both varieties of strips for whitening and these are definitely more convenient. They really seal onto your teeth and make it a lot less of a hassle. The other strips slip and slide everywhere and you can't really talk normally.
One day I accidentally left them on for more than half an hour and noticed my teeth were supppper sensitive for the next two days. Guess the whitening agent is pretty powerful stuff!
I'm glad I used these. I saw some pictures of my smile after I was done with the strips and was really shocked at how dingy my teeth appeared in older photos!
My cheap n lovely friend, Conair 3/4"...
These aren't expensive curling irons. That said, my Conair has yet to really let me down. I've had it for years and it hasn't crapped out yet. It curls, afterall- and like, that's kind of its only job- so I'm happy enough.
The heat dial is kind of a joke though because I always have it on the hottest setting possible (even with my bleach-blonde dew over here) and I still have to hold it for what feels like FOREVER to get a curl. But I get one. So yeah.
Took Sephora off my arm...
Literally. After Kristina H. and I had another crazy "touch everything in sight" session at Sephora we needed to clean up a bit. Thankfully, we were right over by Josie's wipes and gave them a go.
FAAAAbulous! Numero uno, the scent is amazing. Dos, they're all natural. Three, (the Spanish thing just wasn't cute anymore) they actually DO take product off. I had quite the array on my hands and arms too.
Granted, none of it was waterproof, but some of it was considered longwear and it came off. And the best part? The wipe just kept going and going and going. I used it until it was completely saturated with product and it still had removing power!
Pricey but worth it if you've got the bucks and like the idea of being eco-conscious (and fancy).
Not my fav but I'm still using it.
Ladies, before you pay full price always consider BigLots! If you have one in your area then you might be in luck- they often carry all kinds of name brand products like Olay, Aveeno, Aussie, and other fab stuff. I happened to nab this lotion for a mere $5. Considering it's a full 600ml of product I was pretty stoked.
That is, until I started to use it during my daily moisturizing ritual. It's... ehhh. There's something about it I just don't like. True to its packaging's promise it delivers moisture that's sheer... but it's almost TOO sheer. And my hands often have this residue on them after applying which is hard to describe. Not sticky but kind of like a gross powdery/dry feeling.
Sorry, Olay quench... you're nice and all but I just don't think this is going to work out.
Pleasantly surprised!
Oh, NYX, I'll always love you because no matter how broke I am, I can still afford your products and I'll be happy with them when I get home!
The glosses are pretty darn good and come in pretty much every color on the planet... just don't be confused by the names and beware if you're shopping sight unseen online- their version of "peach" is really more like hot pink... go figure. Their "brown" lip liner was also an orangey coral (packaging oops??). Hmm. Anyhoo, good thing hot pink peach and orangey coral work just fine for me : ) Nice color payoff, not sticky, pretty long lasting too. SOLD!
Silky and smells delicous!
I heard that tomatoes are really good for your skin so I picked up a few Say Yes to Tomatoes products (this as well as the facial mask, which I also really like). The first thing I noticed is how silky and smooth this formula is. It glides on lightly and left my skin feeling soft and not greasy at all. The scent is amazing! Definitely not like tomatoes- more like vanilla or something- I can't quite put my finger on it... but I love it!
You just have to give it a chance to be great!
The very first time I sampled this polish I was not pleased. Essie at CVS?? But I've seen ads for that in all my magazines... so I opened the polish and swiped on a layer. See, THIS is why I try them first, I thought with distaste. I hated it. It was sheer and I figured it would take a million coats to look decent. Well for get that....... UNTIL, I heard from Kristina H (fellow beauty) that it's the second layer that's magical. Oh, and magical it is!
So I decided to give Essie one more chance and purchased a bottle in "sand tropez." I can't believe how opaque my color came out with just two applications! I love it. And the color selection is amazing!
Just be sure to give your nails ppppleanty of time to dry. I noticed it took a bit longer than some of my other polishes and as a result, I have a few unsightly dings in my manicure : /
Overal good product though. I can't wait to try the other colors!
Made me feel fat but I'll forgive it ; P
I'm not like a giant beast or anything and the belt didn't have much room left by the time I adjusted the belt strap to fit my hips. And the clip was another issue entirely... I seriously almost lost a finger trying to get the thing open. Hopefully time will loosen up the plastic a bit so it's not such a chore to get it on and off.
After struggling with that bit I was finally able to put some brushes and products into it and get a feel for it's workability. So far, so good. I've never actually owned a pro-type belt before so I don't have anything to directly compare it to. It's pretty big and can accomodate quite a few products. The front pouch might be a little problematic though, it opens so deeply my bottle of Argan Oil fell out when I bent over a little!
It's a bit cumbersome due to it's large size so it's gonna take some getting used to. I figure it's a great starting off point.. and hey, it was 50% off!
I'm impressed.
I've been looking for a solid mask to help with the damage that bleaching has done. After leaving this on for only a few minutes I can see a big difference in the texture and shine of my hair.
I was too tired to let my hair dry completley before bed so I slept on it damp. Usually it's pretty frizzy by the time I wake up in the morning, but not today! The ends looks amazingly healthy. Even though it's heavy conditioning my hair feels super light and has great volume. The grapefruit scent is really delicious too. I can't wait to use it again!
