Super black but refuses to stay put!
I struggle to keep my Cargo liner, well, in line. I've tried to set it with black eye shaddow but it just likes to move around. While the heavy pigment is nice, it's only nice when it's on your eyes- not all over your hands, outfit, boyfriend, etc. I really love how thin the pencils are- makes for easy application. And finding a true black is tricky enough, so I think I'll just tough it out and carry some q-tips from now on.
So usually Ulta products pretty much suck...
but this cheek color in Karma (kind of a pinky orange) has seriously impressed me. It compliments my currently pale skin wonderfully and also works with my fake tans. Something about the orange in it really brings out the green in my eyes when I use it as a shaddow. Perhaps I've judged Ulta products too harshly. Although the liquid foundation IS heinous.
Now I'M Glittercute.
I was obsessing over the perfect glittery purple liner for months. Seriously. And then one day I realized I'd spent a gazillion dollars at Sephora and the checkout girl put one in my bag as a little "thank you for being an obsessed makeup freak."
Turns out it was quite the thank you- it is THE perfect glittery purple liner. It's just the right amount of glitter with a rich, yet bright pigmented purple. Loveeeeeeeeee.
Best.
I've tried a lot of powder bronzers and this one is still my #1. It's not orange at all, so if you're going for that Jersey Shore "glow" you're not gonna like this one. The brush it comes with is poor quality but gets the job done if you happen to forget your real brushes. One of it's best features is that it's buildable depending on how tan you need to make your face. It also works great to define the sides of your nose, cheekbones, whatev.
Just don't use it on your lips.
I know you're supposed to be able to do that but it tastes freakin horrible. I DO like how it works on my cheeks, however. The fush it gives is natural looking and light. It's not too sticky but I find myself having to set it with a light powder blush or it'll smear onto things... like my white sweater. Thanks, tarte.
Oh yea, it's good.
My fellow cosmetic freak.. your very own Kristina H. here on beautylish, was generous as always and shared her Shiseido with me. Any of you out there that know how much this stuff costs will realize that that's a true friend right there ; )
This stuff is like, wow. Really good. My skin was super soft and I didn't break out at all. In fact, for the short period I used it, I was noticing a definite improvement. Kristina's skin was the best I'd ever seen it. As soon as I save up a few bucks I'll be at the Shiseido counter stocking up.
