I purchased this shampoo last June after getting a Brazilian blowout upon the recommendation of my hair stylist. You only need a small amount… even for long hair. It cleanses well with natural oils essential for hair. It does not leave a greasy look or feel, even in the summer months when oily scalps thrive. The conditioner is soft upon application and leaves hair feeling light after it’s dry. The smell is AMAZING! All around, I can say this was a great product that took amazing care of my hair and I’d like to get back to it. I really enjoyed this product and the only reason I stopped using it was to try and find a cheaper alternative. The result was getting a shampoo that stripped my hair and dried my scalp. Lesson learned I should have stuck with this.
Oil based shampoos do not cause more oil, as most would think, they actually provide hair with natural oils that cleanse as well as moisturize so that your scalp will stop producing oil in excess. These products are great for the harsh cold of winter months when your scalp is constantly under attack. You can purchase it on their website or at your local hair care professional.
PROS: Moisturizing, Good for hair, Little application necessary, great bottle life, contains natural oils, contains keratin, contains proteins and nutrients
CONS: Pricey

Great Coverage, longwear, good on skin!

I originally bought this concealer a year or so ago after I watched one of Kandee Johnson's (<a class='textlink' href='http://kandeelandkandeeland.blogspot.com/' rel='nofollow noopener' target='_blank'>http://kandeelandkandeeland.blogspo...</a>) makeup tutorials. She is an amazing makeup artist that does a lot of online videos. I have always had trouble with my dark circles and have tried a million and one different fixes. Benefit has a lot of great products and it's no secret that I am a huge fan of their products but all reviews are well deserved. The truth of the matter for anyone with dark circles or under-eye wrinkles is that there is NO makeup that will truly cover it entirely without applying dozens of layers. It's best to find a product that off-sets the veins and circles on your skin. Use peach to offset purples/blacks. Use green to off-set red. That's the biggest reason people fail to find the right matches for their skin.
Now, on to what you're here for! Boi-ing is offered in three shades- Light, Medium, Dark. I use 2 during winter and 3 during summer. This concealer is creamy and off-sets dark circles well. It's not for everyone however... their concealers extend to tan not caramel or ebony skin-tones. I apply concealer 2 after my face lotion and primer (right now I'm trying 'that gal.') This concealer works great for heavy concealing but best as a light cover-up on relatively clear skin to even it. I often apply it around the eyes, nose and chin to cover small blemishes. Then I use a sheer powder to cover. I wish they would make it in bigger containers since I do have to replace it several times a year but that's because I tend to use it more and use foundation less. It's $19 and I find it's worth the money for the length of life. For best results, exfoliate and moisturize DAILY to reduce wrinkles, fine lines, and dry, flakey skin!
PROS: Covers well, good bang for the buck, no breakouts, easy to use, good color match, creamy
CONS: short shelf life for the frequent user, pricey, only a few shade options, doesn't fully cover certain tones in the skin
A MUST HAVE FOR WINTER MONTHS!
I have personally used this product on multiple occasions and switched simply to try other products I had heard about. I've always had a good experience with True Blue Spa. I'm trying their paraffin super-softening hand lotion as well. This lotion is great for winter when your skins moisture is practically M.I.A (and trust me, I've tried A LOT of other lotions.) It comes out thick and takes VERY little to cover your entire body. It has a great Shea butter scent and doesn't feel overly greasy when applied. It absorbs fast & well. I would not recommend it after shaving if you have problems with lotions after shaving like I do. The scent in it will cause your skin to sting for a minute or two. It is a little pricey at $20 for a 10 oz container but when you think about how long it will last you, that quickly becomes a deal. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the product.
PROS: Hydrating, good smell, little application needed for all-over moisture, lasts forever, great for winter months.
CONS: Bad for after shaving, slightly greasy feel (disappears quickly), pricey (but lasts forever)
Cute, innovative, & GREEN!
I heard about this company through a makeup artist friend of mine who is HUGELY obsessed with the Green/Organic movement going on. I was unaware until last week this can be purchased in Walmart. It's also available in Ulta as far as I know. They offer other products and I've just tried this one.
It has a great flavor "Sweet Mint" is the one I bought. It comes in a little sphere with a twist-off cap. The lip balm itself is also a sphere. It covers well and is addictive to put on (keep in mind it is unhealthy to over-use your lip balm.) I have only used it a couple days so I can't speak for the life of the product but it's as cheap as Burts Bees... it was something like 3.49. I don't mind paying more for either product because I know they work.
Oh and... EOS lip balm is... -95% organic -100% natural -paraben free -petrolatum free -antioxidant-rich -vitamin E -soothing shea butter AND jojoba oil :)
Cute Packaging, useful product, awesome company!! <3
I've used many products from the Benefit line. Keep in mind this product is NOT targeted at an "older" audience. It's young and hip. It is NOT made to hide or fill in wrinkles so it can settle in creases... it's not the product failing, it's you trying to make it into something it's not. This is an "on-the-go" for someone who only needs help concealing (which generally means they're not wearing a lot of makeup AT ALL) Being a model, different makeup is used on my face daily and I'm always paying attention to what people are using on me. I had heard about erase paste before and I've used both Boing concealers included in this kit. I originally went to the store to purchase erase paste and found this kit for $36. Keep in mind the price of erase paste alone is $26.
I put on "that gal" on after liquid foundation & before erase paste.
I put erase paste on AFTER I use MAC studio sculpt. I use a sponge with a very small amount on the lids and under-eyes. I have natural dark circles that are tricky to hide at times. Keep in mind, erase paste and the boing concealers do not come in dark shades for ebony & darker skin tones and the undertones in the products are more PEACH based which means they offset greens/blues/blacks. If you have RED blemishes, these products will not work properly for you and you will need GREEN to offset your problem areas. I had this explained to me by many a professional makeup artist.
I follow with Boing #2 under eyes first and #1 over that. I set with a light ivory powder from CG (any lighter powder will do.) Then use your every day powder over the rest of your face to blend the harsh line and set the liquid foundation.
I use lemon-aid as a base for eye shadow. I rarely use eye bright.
PROS: good coverage, longwear, blends well, smooth application, does not cause breakouts, is not "suffocating" to skin, variety of products, less pricey than individual products, good for testing out Benefit products
CONS: small samples, doesn't work for red blemishes, pricey
OPI is a great brand for everyday polish users. Personally, I limit its to use on my toes, this significantly extends the life of the polish. I have a personal love for "Passion" and "Privacy Please" both are great natural looking polishes that look great on lighter olive skin tones. They look almost like a natural pink of your skin with a little hint of beige. They compliment any outfit and are great to use for models who have to have very simple nails for most shoots and events. I find both of these polishes look best with about 3 coats. Neither of them are overly sheer when applied properly.
Pros: Great natural look, long wear on toes, wonderful color selection, easy to find
Cons: Chips on fingernails, a little pricey, after a couple weeks the lighter colors have a tendency to change
Great Coverage, longwear, good on skin!
I have the WORST dark circles and it's not lack of sleep, they're just natural. I always had a hard time finding a good concealer that I didn't have to glob on. This one is great. I have it in #2 and it has a slight peach tint to it that offsets dark circles and just enough olive to match my skin tone. It is easy to apply, needs only a coat or two (use powder in between to set the first coat and then the second.) It matches well with my foundation, which is actually a different product. There are no harsh side-effects to mixing it with other makeup, it doesn't make you breakout and it's SUPER creamy which is great for the cold weather and dry skin.
Pros: Longwear, easy to use, good color match, easy on the skin, requires VERY little to cover.
Cons: Small container, Pricey but may last forever (haven't tested the life of it yet), only a few shades
Great longwear nail color without the damage of fake nails!
This product is new on the market compared to traditional methods but I wouldn't go back even if someone paid me. This product goes on like regular polish but lasts for weeks. It is possible to peel, despite what the description might say but that's only if you play with it a lot and did not properly dry your nails in the dryer. But it's still FAR better than your nail breaking, it just peels right off after a couple weeks of use. They are like a protective 2nd coat for your nails which makes them harder to break. They take 10 minutes to do and dry in less than 5. They look and feel more natural, which is great for people like me who are hands on at work and like to type on their phone a lot! Now, you can't grow REALLY long nails, and by that I mean they can still be long but the longer they get, the easier it is to bend the corners and peel off the polish. All together, way better for your nails upon removal, easier to work with, and looks great!
Pros: Longwear, lots of colors, quick dry time, strengthens nails, natural look & feel, good for a clutz (like me)
Cons: Takes a little while to remove if they haven't been on long, Can peel, costs as much as a manicure, can't grow SUPER long nails
Petroleum is HORRIBLE for skin!
Yes, it moisturizes skin. Yes, it takes off makeup. Yes, it seems to do a lot of great things but people have no idea how bad it is for your skin in the long run! Baby oil is the same way, good effects to start but both are bad for skin in long run and can actually dry you out! If you really want to moisturize without having to worry about the side-effects of a chemical product like this use any natural Coconut Oil. It can be found at any vitamin shop or natural product store. It's all natural, no ingredients you can't pronounce and it can also be used for cooking! It will have a slightly greasy feel but it is wayyyy better for skin!
