Nice radiant glow!
This works best for me when I mix it with a foundation. As a primer I don't think it extends the wear time of my foundation in fact it breaks down much faster. When I mix it with a foundation the finish is a beautiful glow that isn't oily or greasy looking. I do feel like you can see a difference on your skin when you apply it. It does transform dull skin into skin that looks fresh and radiant. I've been using this daily mixed in with my Becca ever Matte foundation and the combo is gorgeous! However, I use a different primer underneath.
On it's own it didn't work...but keep reading because now I love it!
So this is tough, because on it's own this foundation would be 2 stars for me, and with my new found way of using it I would give it 4.5 stars, so I'm opting to give it a 3. Here is why: When I used it by it's self it looked terrible. It clung to dry spots I didn't know I had and broke down around my nose and just was a hot mess. And listen believe me I know that Matte foundations are usually difficult and hard to work with, but with my oily t-zone I couldn't pass up the "shine proof" claim. So for a week I tried this on it's own with all different primers, setting it, not setting it...and just couldn't get it to work for me. Then I was talking to a friend who was telling me how much she loves mixing the Becca backlight primer with one of her foundations and I thought...I should try that with the Ever-Matte and see what happens. Well...what happened was pure magic. The two mixed together great a beautiful foundation. It's still more of a medium coverage and rather than being completely matte it's more of a satin finish, but it melts into the skin, and gives a gorgeous lit from with in look without shine or a dewy finish. I've been wearing it mixed together for about 6 weeks now and really am so pleased with it. I find that it wears well for the whole day and I can build it up where I need more coverage! Hope that helps! The combo is really a win!!!
1 palette...so many options!
This is a fantastic palette and every shade is wearable and gorgeous! This was my first time using any of the Becca blushes and these 2 shades are perfect for adding a rosy glow to your cheeks. And between the 2 shades my favorite is actually mixing them together or layering them on my cheeks. I feel like you get that next level glow! Moonstone is a cult classic highlight and is so radiant and bright without being ashey and rose gold is a nice subtle way to highlight cheekbones for more of an everyday glow. With my fair skin topaz works best as an eye shadow and helps set off my blue eyes. I am so happy they included it for my friends with deeper skin tones! If you are medium-deep every shade will be beautiful on your cheeks and cheek bones! Some people complain about the pan size but I think this palette is a great Becca sampler or starter for people who don't have the full size versions yet. I personally have both and love the ease and convenience of the palette. Additionally the Wayne Goss #2 brush fits perfectly in these pans and is the ideal companion brush for this palette. So if you don't have that brush yet you might as well add it to your cart!
Contour and bronzer universally flattering for so many skin tones!
This is a favorite contour product of mine. The neutral undertone makes it just warm enough for some people and just cool enough for others. The best way I like to use this is by swirling the shades together in the middle for what somehow turns into contour magic. On days where I want more of a subtle natural contour I just use a little of the light side. I know the darker side looks like a really deep shade, but I can lightly sweep it around my face for a pretty bronze glow and I am shade cover fx p40 or IT Cosmetics shade in light. Since most of you are probably only contouring on your own face skip the palettes with shades you're never going to reach for and pick up this great multi-tasker! The packaging is beautiful too! Feels durable, and well made.
Great for contour but didn't really work for the whole face...
I am really conflicted on how to rate this brush. I've had it for about a year and a half and I LOVE it for contour! You can cut out a cheek bone so well that you take 20 lbs off the face or turn it on it's edge for the softest most natural contour that's perfectly blended on contact. So as a contour tool it's a 5 star brush and been a brush that I have featured multiple times on Youtube. However as a brush that you use to do your whole face with I'm not into it. I generally don't like the idea of switching from liquid to powder on the same brush and then using that same brush to set my makeup with setting powder after I have used it to blend contour or bronzer, blush and highlight. And to be honest I just think things looked muddy when I tried the brush like that. I also just feel like it's to big to do everything I want to do on my face. I'm not ever sure I loved it as a foundation brush. I just think there are better tools (the beauty blender, Goss 01, Cover fx liquid foundation brush) for applying foundation. Do I regret buying it? No, because like I said for contour it's phenomenal. But would I recommend it for it's intended claim... no. It's a splurge in my opinion and if you are super into contouring then it's 100% worth getting! Hope that helps!
Subtle rosy glow!!!
I love a good cream blush! Especially the kind that are light airy and blend effortlessly. Nothing is worse than a sticky clumpy cream blush that streaks when you try and blend it in. You feel me on that one? This has a whipped gel like consistency that blends like magic and creates such a healthy glow on the cheeks. If you have a stack of cream blushes sitting in a drawer that you never reach for I get it! But this one is worth taking a chance on. It tends to be one of my go to products in the summer when I want to look pulled together in that effortless summer makeup way. In terms of application I find that using my middle and ring finger to tap product onto the skin and then softly blend it out works the best. This product leans more on the sheer side of the spectrum so the first swipe will give a nice was of color and glow. For more impact add a second layer or dust on a complementing powder blush over the top.
Shimmering highlight goodness
There is a reason why Opal is sold out all the time and why makeup junkies crash websites when a new Becca highlight is released. Somehow Becca has managed to create highlights with the highest pigment and still manages to keep them buttery soft, blendable and finely milled. Becca highlights are not the "lit from within" highlight. They are the "hey girl you are lit up like a Christmas tree and I can take my eyes off of you" highlight. And I'm not mad at that! The shade range makes sure that from fair to deep you can get your highlight on. No skin tone is left behind with a Becca highlight. For my light up those cheek bones sisters out there get the Goss 02 brush to apply the product with! You will love how that brush fits perfectly in the high planes of the face and evenly distributes the powder. And for my fellow "lit from within, I like a more subtle highlight" pick up the Goss 15 fan brush! The fan brush with opal is my go to highlight for my Cover FX P40 skin tone. The fan brush will feather out and disperse all that pigment so you can glow and still go to the office! The attached photo shows Moonstone, Opal and Champagne Pop (L to R). I think that Opal is the most universal shade and that Moonstone is the one that creates the most glow and high impact.
Wow...just wow!!!
I've been a fan of Wayne's brushes since I first laid eyes on them. It's easy to spot the incredible craftsmanship and the hours of thought that went into designing each brush. I've used his brushes on a daily basis over the last 2 years and have come to rely on them both personally and professionally as a makeup artist. When you have the right tools it can almost seem as if your makeup does itself. These are the right tools! The number 1 brush has been a fan favorite but I want to be the first one to tell you that the redesigned number 1 will blow you away! It's now 4x larger and I'm so happy with it and that alone makes it worth getting this set! It has now replaced all my other foundation brushes because it's large enough to allow for a quick foundation application and the dense duo fiber will give you such a gorgeous airbrushed look to your foundation. The original number 1 will still be your go to for cream blush or other cream products but now you will have the perfect foundation brush too! However you will find that you can't live without the 2,3,4,5,6,7 and even the tiny little 8 will land it's cute self into your brush essentials list.
Another innovative must have product!!
I have tried all 4 of the formulas and because of my skin type and skin needs have found the Calming on to be the right fit for me, but I also use the anti-aging drops. All four of them did what they said they will do and in my testing lived up to their claims. All of these drops add an extra boost of essential oils and vitamins to whatever products you’re already using. You can add these to your moisturizer, serum, sunscreen, foundation or Custom Cover Drops. They address 4 major skin issues/concerns so it's important that you select drops for a specific purpose.
My skin is sensitive and prone to redness and irritation and the combination of Vitamin E and soothing Chamomile has been a win for me. I've noticed that the redness in my face after a hot shower calms down faster that normal when I add 1-2 drops to my moisturizer. I've added these to just about any face product I apply in the morning and like it across the board. For practical purposes I tend to just default to adding them to my moisturizer.
They do have a distinct fragrance but it'n not fake or synthetic smelling, but if you are scent sensitive then smell them in person first to make sure it won't bother you. The Jasmine/ anti-aging is the strongest to me but the scent dissipates quickly.
I have a full video review of all 4 on my youtube channel: aglitterylife
Excellent Quality fantastic price!!
EXCELLENT QUALITY FANTASTIC PRICE!! I am so happy that I was able to try these out prior to the launch. It's amazing what a difference quality makes. I've always struggled with my brows because most brow brushes are synthetic which is not ideal for applying a powder product to skin. Most of the time I only use brow powder because I find that it's quick and looks natural. I absolutely LOVE the #21 brush!!! The shape and size of it makes it incredible to fill in your brows quickly and with expertise. I feel like my brows actually look better than they normally do! They are super easy to use! The #22 combo brush is fantastic because once again the brush is badger and not synthetic. This brush will be great for the dip brow pomade/ gel brow product users because it will help you keep a strong brow that looks soft and natural just by brushing through it at the very end. I know some of you are going to be like..."why do I need a luxury spoolie???" And the simplest answer is "because sometimes it's just nice to have a tool that is handcrafted and not just a cheap piece of junk!" I love the price point because it's affordable for someone who is just starting to amass their Wayne Goss collection and doesn't hit to hard for those of us who have his other sets. The craftsmanship is the same high quality as the rest of his brushes and these are the perfect compliment for the other sets as well as your makeup collection.
