The best eyeshadows I have ever come across

As both a professional makeup artist and a total makeup junkie I feel like I have used nearly everything on the market at one point or another. And I have a substantial list of products that I love and have used for years as my tried and true never fail me products. However I can't think of a single eye shadow that out ranks this palette for me now. I got the #2 palette in my lucky bag and it was instant love at first application. I used it everyday for weeks till I was able to buy the Green Brown 28 at IMATS. Needless to say I've not used any other shadows since. They are creamy, the pigmentation is insane and the finishes are gorgeous. I love the mattes, because they are great transition shades and basically all I would need. The Metallics and Sparkling finishes are my favorites though. They retain their high power color and finish from dawn to dusk. Using MAC paint pot in painterly as a base I have gotten 12 hour wear time with them looking as good when I take them off as when I put them on. I have a very hooded eye and don't experience any creasing with them, including using metallic and sparkling finishes in the crease. It's been years since I've been able to use shimmer shadows in my crease since they break down, fall out and crease. I can't believe these perform the way they do. In terms of fall out I've not experienced that to any degree worth noting. In fact I've not had to do any clean up after application. I use natural hair brushes from Wayne Goss and Smith Cosmetics and because of the intense pigmentation I use a light touch when picking up product. A light touch will also allow you to apply directly to the eye without tapping off your brush first. I feel like there is a learning curve if you are not used to the pressed pigment type product, but that is easily over come with a little practice. Because they are so creamy they are easily blended out. So for more dramatic looks you will want to use a flat shader brush to place product on the lid. They also respond well when I use my finger to place the metallics/sparkles on the lid for a pop of shimmer. This palette isn't for everyone. It's an investment up front but something worth saving for and 100% worth splurging on if you are able. To me these eye shadows are the perfect formula on all accounts. In regards to Talc being listed as the first ingredient: Since they are made in Italy if cosmetic products contain talc it's required by law that regardless of the amount of Talc that it must be listed as the first ingredient. Check products like Tom Ford and Visert and you will ind Talc listed first there as well. The amount of Talc in products like this is not enough for concern unless you know for certain you are allergic to it.

Since I don't plan to rub the packaging on my face...

I always crack up when people get all twisted over packaging and size for luxury items. It's not that I can't understand where they are coming from but I just don't care what the packaging is like when the product is bomb. So let's get down to brass tacks. In terms of product quality, product performance and product shade it's incredible. It's a beautiful highlight that lends itself to users who want something a little more natural as well as users who are looking to glow like there is no tomorrow. I love that I can do a one swipe for a "lit from within" glow or I can build it up for the out of this world seen from outer space highlight. I don't find that it fades or diminishes as the day wears on either. In terms of rating it 4 stars I did remove a star because I feel like Charlotte sold herself and her brand short when she opted to use cardboard packaging. However it's still beautiful and still looks great in photos and on my vanity. The most substantial reason for docking a star is because it seems quite fragile and I'm afraid to travel with it. Which also means I wouldn't ever choose to put it in my pro kit. I feel like it's a dis-service when a brand creates something that can't leave the safety of my vanity. But for true makeup collectors/junkies/highlight fanatics...this is 100% a must have!

Matte city!

I've been happily using this primer since it launched on Beautylish in Dec. I think it does a good job of keeping my combo skin matte and is the only way that I can wear the glow foundation. Without it the foundation stays to emollient and gets to shiny as the day wears on. Typically I only need to use the magic primer in my t-zone. I love the packaging and like that it's a new shape/ style for primer packaging thank others I have. I have noticed that a little goes a long way and 1 tiny pump is really all I need. The only reason I knocked a star off is for the price. It's 55.00 for 30 ml. As opposed to the Cover FX Mattiying primer that I also really like, which is 38.00 for 30 ml. Overall I have to give it high marks for performance and find it to be a splurge worthy purchase!!!

Ultra fine, ultra easy, ultra perfect!

Brows are such a struggle...it's literally the one thing about my morning routine that fills me with dread! I've tried anything and everything for my brows. To make them look perfect, to make them look more natural when filled in, and to make my morning routine faster and easier. The Brow power super skinny did all three of those! It's so easy to use, the shade range is fantastic, the micro tip creates tiny little hair lines and it's easy to blend and get the product right where you need it. At 24.00 it comes in 3.00 more than ABH brow wiz, but it's also 0.05 product as opposed to 0.03 with the ABH. Since time it money and this saves me time and aggravation it's a perfect investment! I can't see myself using anything else anymore!

Creamy diffused glow!

I love how subtle but impactful this cream highlight is! It's easy to wear, blends smoothly and it didn't accentuate my pores! I've worn it alone as a highlight for my no makeup makeup days and have also worn it layered as part of Natasha's whole system. I love it both ways! In general I've noticed that when I use it under a highlight powder it adds more dimension to the highlighted area and my highlight stays strong much longer. I use my ring finger to apply it to my face as opposed to applying it right to my face from the stick.

Works great!

I got this to throw in my pro kit because it doesn't have a strong or offending scent like so many brush cleaners, which makes it good for using on set or on a job. I spray it a couple times on a towel or old t-shirt and then wipe my brushes off. Super easy and doesn't leave the brush to damp so you can immediately use it.

Great inky black long wear liner!

This is my new favorite black eyeliner! I feel like everything ends up smearing or smudging on me at some point in the day. Not this one! I can wear it all day without smudging! It's super black and glides on like a gel liner. So there is no tugging, skipping or pulling! I love this eyeliner!!!!

Warm Neutrals perfect to pair with your razzle dazzle palettes!

I am going to have to respectfully with the 1 star review. This is a great warm neutral palette. It includes a good range of shades to create a dimensional neutral eye look. This palette is more what I wish the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette was.

I gravitate more towards shades 2 and 3 because they are perfect transition shades but I love 3 and 4 to deepen the crease and smoke out the lower lash line. Now since this palette is 100% matte it lacks the pop that I like for the lid. So I like to pair it with palettes or single shadows to create an eye look that includes both matte and shimmer.

Additionally I can use shade 3 and 4 together for my brows. But I actually think that most women could find a shade or shade combo within this palette that would work to define and fill in their brows. This would also be great for a makeup artist pro kit, because you get your warm neutrals and also your brow shades in one. Overall it's pigmented, buildable, long wearing and I didn't have any fall out while using it.

Perfect diffused glow

This product delivers the most gorgeous diffused glow. It's almost hard to describe because it's not sparkly or glittery. And honestly shimmer isn't even quite the right word for it. It's very finely milled and creamy so the texture is almost wet but it's a powder. The instant you apply it you feel like your skin is radiant, full of life and healthy. It's not the disco glow that Becca and Anastasia give us. This is truly the next level and it's subtle, magical and clean! You can layer it and build it up or wake up the skin with just one pass. To turn up the glow layer it over the face glow shimmer. There is something about the consistency as well that is so smooth and soft that it's not going to add texture to your skin or cling to fine lines, dry patches or accentuate problem skin. The glow line is beautiful but this is the real show stopper!

Luxury at it's finest

All you need to know is that this brush is the softest brush that will ever touch your skin and it's the most luxurious brush you might ever own.

As far as performance there isn't anything disappointing about this brush. It allows you to sweep powder across your face without disturbing or moving any of your makeup. It just wisps the powder on for a flawless finish.

hands down worth the splurge!
